The basis for a good RPG fighting game is here, but I feel like there isn't enough complexity to make the combat truly engaging. The battles are mostly brute-strength affairs, and having to fight one after the other becomes a bit tedious. The castle sieges, while a good idea in theory, quickly suffer from the same problem: you know whether you're going to win before they even start. The game is entertaining as it is, but I feel that with more unusual skill trees and more diverse enemy attacks that require strategic planning, it could have been much better.
A good premise for a game, but ultimately it feels incomplete. There is a lot of repetitiveness to go through: most o the pet training becomes unnecessary after a short while, and the combat system itself is too simplistic to be challenging. My mage-type pet didn't even have access to any offensive spells.
Great game from beginning to end, enormously fun with a lot of the humor of Monkey Island (and a few overt references). I worthy successor to the great LucasArts games!
A fantastic sequel that builds on all the strengths of the original and adds just the right amount of new material. The side plots are a great idea in particular.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous. I absolutely loved this from beginning to end. The art is stunning, the story is compelling, and the only complaint is that I would have loved to see more. This was truly a beautifully made game, and I only wish I had played this sooner!
