i think removing the set speed, movement grid, and unlimitied snake length takes away all of the challenge and classic feel from this game. you dont have a "stylish arcade game with fresh mechanics" here, all you have is an un-original new age game with an old school name trying to get its shot at internet fame. (like the rhyme? i thought it was a nice touch)
my only complaint is the lack of checkpoints. if you added a little checkpoint befoer the boss, or when you complete an objective. this game would be perfect.
a lot of effort obviously went into this game. but its just not for me. i would prefer you be able to destroy the 'black plague' once you got powerful enough or whatever. but still, good artwork, nice story. so overall 4/5
basically, this game is a copy of the whole shift series on gameplay, but it seems to have a good backstory. but one simply cant find that out becuase it is a demo. and this is a free games site. also the graphics are nothing new, and the fact that i would have to pay a whole fifteen dollars to uncover the backstory (while repetitivley dying) just seems ridiculous.
