2/5. Because it's getting frustrating with all that color puzzles in such a dark atmosphere. A little bit brighter or other puzzles than most only color puzzles would be cool.
But no really, make the spider easier. It finds you too easy, even if you hide, seems like a bug, and make at least the gas station a safe area and maybe the garage behind as a checkpoint (but crack open that door lures the spider, so maybe add a manual save point to the gas station or something). Jeez. If you make another one, please work better on it, don't release it to early.
Wildkatz, thank you for the review!
I'm sorry to hear that you had bad experience with the game.
The spider can be heared (you can actually hear its footsteps) so you know if he near or far.
I made a mistake making this sound very quiet (although i thought it's even too loud while playtesting it) but i did it for the atmosphere.
The point of this game is a player to feel vulnerable, to be scared. And this game is pretty short. This are two reasons why i refused to create checkpoints.
No Checkpoints. Got the axe, opened the garage, got jerry can, put it to the tank, just needed the corpse of the guy (i guess in the upper left of the map) and what happend. That spider thing can even enter the gas station. It's so much TRIAL AND ERROR, NO FUN.
Some spelling mistakes and other stuff in the german translation. Stopped playing after waking up in the tree and going to the kids location thing. 3/5.
I apologize for some of the shortcomings as mentioned in the game this is a beta version. With regard to hang on startup, on surrender of early testing, this problem did not arise.
Really nice but a little bit annoying to write down notes/codes. Maybe add like a journal in the next game that automatically put down all the codes you can find in the game.
