Hey Will, unfortunately merc points can't be refunded at this current time. But you do earn them as the game goes on - and we also offer you the chance to 'demo' items in market before you buy 'em - which hopefully makes purchasing decisions a bit easier? Thanks for the comment!
There should be an option to pay either cash or merc points for some stuff. I.E. If a mercenary costs 30 merc points, that same mercenary could also cost $30,000
Not 100% certain on how easy this would be for us to implement, it might add more clutter (more buttons, options) to our market screens. But it's something to mull over, for sure!
