Was pretty confusing without the tutorials, yeah. Not sure why I can pick which wave to play on though, and that turerts destroy each round? Kind of an interesting twist
Thanks! When I update the game it'll basically be completely different, with multiple different areas to go through before you reach Zero, and I'll have time to balance things out and make sure it's not too easy or too difficult.
Well I got 2 points. I really think a lot of these minigames need better instructions. "press l and k" does't cut it. It might be prett good with better instructions
100 levels? That's a typo right? That means you can only die once per 10 levels. I would recommend removing the lives or increasing them a lot if you want players to be able to get past the third level
That is not a typo.. Every few floors you get a Lives Refill. so its pretty much a checkpoint.
Just get used to the controls and you will be able to beat this game like a breeze
I got through most of it I think, but... I have a track pad. This game is not easy for people with track pads. I would also say its way to sensitive, but that might just be my own settings. I would have to recommend a setting or something or another option, maybe use arrow keys to move up and down idk. Other than that, It was an interesting concept. I enjoyed petting your cat.
Thanks for the input. I was thinking of allowing arrow keys, but at the last minute I thought I need to stick to the gimmick and intended gameplay, but there's really no point that I didn't allow an alternative and I'll update the controls after the judging is done.
At least petting the cat makes more sense on a trackpad, heh.
I did test with both very precise and very sensitive scrolling though. The game should be beatable with a sensitive scroll, unless "Input.GetAxis("Mouse ScrollWheel") > 0f" works differently on some setups/mousewheels.
But if you can get from one edge to the other in one stroke you should be able to beat even the final level.
A few bugs... While the key floating back to its original place is a nice effect, I was able to position myself to be able to die behind my spawn point and grab when I revive, easily finishing the level after that. Double jumping didn't work consistently either in some cases, I would only jump once and be unable to jump again. Do all surfaces act as grounding surfaces? Also the moving obstacles need to reset. Trying using time since restart, rather than time in general. Other than those, it was a pretty decent platformer. I liked the sfx.
The controls were a little hard to use. I think hotkeys to elect might have been better, and clicking or space to use their abilities? Other than that, it's an interesting concept for sure. Good entry
There are 5 minigames, but the title is "10 minigames" because the game revolves around the numbers 1 and 0 (which combined give 10). You can call it a marketing trick ;>.
Found a bug... due to lag while reeling the hand it, it kind of skips the pot and keeps going down off the screen... This happened twice, and I quickly found out that if you lose you have to start over. Not very happy with that, which makes it unplayable for me.
I just can't finish it. Some of these levels are just too hard (combined with the lag I get from Kongregate). I would highly recommend taking the time to rebalance it. Another Issue I found, it's very long and difficult, but there's no saving? With any game that takes over 5 minutes it's important to have at least a basic save structure in case something happens. Would suck if for some reason the browser closed when you was 2 levels away from winning. Leaderboards would also be nice here. you already Track fastest times and fewest deaths wouldn't be hard to add. Other than that, it was a decent simple platforming game, I felt as is there was a good amount of variety in traps and levels, and the controls worked pretty well.
Interesting look on the theme. There were a few bugs though, I think some of the numbers were turning invisible for me and made it seem like I was randomly dying. It'd also be nice if you had a display for the current ability selected, because remembering a list of 9 power ups isn't easy. Good entry though! Keep up the effort
Hi! Thank's for the feedaback, i'll upload a revised version of the game and work in these aspects you are mentioning. Sadly, i haven't got the time to revise the webgl port version of the game, this is the first build i've made and uploaded it 35 min before deadline.
