I continued the game when I beat the first normal mode. When I eventually lost, I didn't get the $200 for beating the required normal mode. I am now screwed. What do.
In rough numbers, it takes 12 rounds to work off the investment in level 2 and 3 upgrades to banana farms. And the really cheap first upgrade should always be taken the round of or after you make the monkey farm or working off the initial investment takes much longer.
The final contender is ridiculous. You have to beat him 20 times, and it gets more powerful as you win? Until their speed is so high that 2 of your guys are out of the game by the time you get your first turn? What's the point? It's not even a fair fight.
The last 2 levels are RETARDED. For 13 levels, lalalalalala, then suddenly, lol, all skill you have developed and weapons you have are inadequate. Ever heard of gradual progression or challenge throughout?
Leader: "Alright, Larry. We need to find out what's in the mall. Go scout it out."
Larry: "Ok, how far is it?"
Leader: "About 15 blocks."
Larry: "...I'm a doctor. I have no combat experience. Are you really sure that's safe?"
Leader: "Oh yeah, 100% safe man. I'm sure you won't have any problems."
Everyone whining about how the highest levels of the game are impossible needs to shut it. I've won on nightmare a bunch of times. Just make sure you start on a good map(a few farms, a few survivors, a few housing structures, hospital ASAP and lab as 2nd priority). If you get a map where you know the first month is gonna suck, just get a new map...
