After much research, i have indeed concluded, that this game is not based on real world events.

The new skill provides normal XP, but it is shared throughout the party. Make sure you toggle that off and you will get normal XP.

Mods are picked by Jagex staff depending on how they behave. You behave good, you have a tiny chance of becoming a mod, If you act like you or me, you WON'T become a mod. That simple enough for you? Aside from that useless admin that was flagged for comments, this game is quite nice, great graphics and a huge challenge
