If you’re playing under Linux, you need Flash player 11.3 or above.
Adobe doesvnot provide Flash 11.3 for Linux, but it works on Google Chrome (not Chromium). As a Linux user (Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora/OpenSuse), you can download the .deb/.rpm package from google.com/chrome and simply install (if you are not allergic to proprietary software). Please +++
From Game: "You need to upgrade your Flash Player. Sorry, this game will not work on lower than 11.3."
From Adobe: "NOTE: Adobe Flash Player 11.2 will be the last version to target Linux as a supported platform. Adobe will continue to provide security backports to Flash Player 11.2 for Linux."
With a few bug fixes, a little balancing, and a lot less emphasis on having to buy prannies, this really *could* have been a great game. Shame in its current state, it's a 2.5 at best.
Via Joe SpaceWizard Rheaume: "There is an easter egg. Using the final chestnuts a second time, you can climb the cliff that is past the right side of the volcano, another tree will automatically grow, giving access to a mysterious grave stone."
For those looking for suggestions configurations, here is what I suggest to breeze through the game: Ship: Bomber. Weapons: 2x Laser, 6x Particle Launcher. Accessories: 3x Advanced Targeting, 3x Power Booster, 3x Magnet. For the most part, you can stay near the bottom, nudge side to side to dodge a few bullets, and let magnets collect coins.
This version allowed for a lot more creativity than the previous versions, which I enjoyed. Thank you for the freedom of expression in this game, compared to the exact methodology of the previous games.
Pre-set commands would make this game excellent. For example: Follow Target [Close/Mid/Far], Move: To here [And halt or resume previous], Standard AI: Attack/Run/Heal/Assist.
Three things that would improve this game for me: Being able to use WASD to pan my map view. An undo button for those unfortunate misclicks. And of course, quicker AI calculations.
The game should have been named Tedious. Kill, upgrade eq, repair, hire, repeat. Very little strategy, and certain stats or abilities or little to no value. To see how a skill system like this should be implemented, see the Sonny games. This had potential, but failed in implementation. 2/5.
Drag aiming is different, but not a preferable default. Click aim or auto-aim is much better. Also, being able to reassign your keys would make this game a lot better. And the last thing, having more control of my army spawns would make a world of difference.
Unable to even play the game. The game starts normally, after I pickup the penny and the brick and go to the door, the game turns into a resource hog and locks up Firefox. If I wait several minutes I can click something, then repeat, severe lag, unresponsive.
What this game really needs is chains. To be able to clear a line, then have it search through the numbers remaining, recheck to see if any of the new numbers meet the goal.
I am enjoying the game, though even on low quality with music and sound effects turned off, it locks up and lags quite a bit. It seems a bit of a resource hog when checking though the cpu usage.
The member base isn't what it used to be, and then to have them spread out between two servers. Sadly, I feel as though the game is winding down to a halt. DEN (S1) has been looking for active players for awhile. As soon as we find one, another person grows bored and quits.
"We currently do not support your operating system.
You'll be informed through the news as soon as other
operating systems are supported by Drakensang Online."
Can we get a + for Linux support?
