Bio: When Vatun was born, the crown-prince and sole heir to the Dhiren Empire was murdered in his bed. His mother, in great sorrow, named him Vatun, after Vatunus, the Dhiren god of misfortune. The emperor claimed him as his son and send Vatun to military training. For twenty years, he has been the butt of every joke at the aristocracy, and predatorized. Once, when he was fourteen, his throat was slit. Luckily it was a sloppy job and he survived. When he was fully healed, the scar on his throat served as a reminder of his time in training. When he graduated, Vatun took the ceremonial longsword and gutted the one who almost killed him. After twenty-two more years in the brutal Dherin military, he was commended for valor on the field and willingness to jump into battle.
