This is one of the first tower defense games I ever played, and it's WAAAY better than it's sequel. The music isn't brilliant, so my recommendation is listen to a combination of Static-X and Dream Theater while playing it. The second map is a bit stupid, because there is little space to put buildings, which is frustrating rather than challenging, and upgrading towers would be helpful. Other than that, it's a very good game!! =D
@KillingTheKing not necessarily. Even on Easy mode, I'm finding it a bit frantic. Currently on day 34, and my loadout is space laser and Old Glory, and it's now really difficult to stop bomb trucks. Luckily for me, I have 53 gunmen and 21 repairmen at my disposal, 1 quaker and 2 missile launchers.
I think the game would be a bit better were it split up into two stages. Stage one; killing SOME of the populace and gaining the seven artifacts. Stage two; gain a new spell (summon undead, let's say 3 at a time, and with average health) and destroy the rest of the world.
If you're wondering about the title of the easy badge, it's a reference to a line in the song "Trogdor" or to give it it's fuller title, "Trogdor the Burninator". The bridge talks about "Burninating the countryside! Burninating the peasants! Burninating all the pplz in their thatched roof COTTAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
having a 'normal' and 'fast' speed really helps balance out the ridiculous difficulty of the previous bloons td games. The variety is also cool, as well as the upgrades, so I'm having a lot of fun here.
this is not rock. this is METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rock is still awesome btw. What's the song called?
I like this game. It's like Final Ninja meets Canabalt. the additions of rope-swinging, throwing shurikens at enemies, and speed control make the game seem more refined and it's much more of a fun game to be thinking "Oh no how fast should I be running?" Also incredibly addictive gameplay. The beauty, for me, is in the simplicity. But I would like the idea of shuriken doubling up as grappling tools, that would add an extra level of depth to the game, and the extra control would be a blessing. 4/5
*mathew* it's not necessarily tough, it's so simple, yet sooooooooo frustrating. I finally did it in no fewer, no greater than FIVE HUNDRED AND NINTEEN deaths.
I think this game is a good, simple, addictive idea. However, a timer for when the two parts slam together would be nice. That would add a sense of urgency to the gameplay. Still love it though. overall, 4.5/5
interesting to play from the perspective of a bloodsucking parasite. Didn't like how you moved painfully slow at the beginning, or how the game doesn't. shut. the. eff. up. at. the. end.
this is great fun. Intriguing to know about this androgynous species and I still can't find those last 5 sprite droppings. Oh well, can't wait for part two, but something tells me it won't be a top-down dungeon crawler.
