Yup, I can agree with that – Now, as a grown ass adult, I realise failure is an important part of life, the process of trial and error – Making mistakes helps us learn different skills, teaches what not to do again. Most people go through a phase that teaches us that.

I only said I was possessed to sound cool because my brother told kids in my class that I cry myself to sleep because I have nightmares. Tried to make it sound scarier then it was, didn’t work, made me look weird. and now I have a friend from school who occasionally reminds me of that.

The reoccurring DOES make it scary when you’re dealing with a CORPSE, regardless of how comfortable with death I was. I would cry at bedtime because I was scared of having that same dream. I honestly think I would have felt better having another nightmare where I was eaten by monsters, just to change it up. Seeing one dead body at funerals isn’t so bad, but seeing a dead body almost 2-4 times a week in my dreams when I was just a kid, that would make any child uncomfortable, regardless of their feelings on death. I was pretty comfortable around death, honestly, children here learn young to kiss, touch and hold a body during tangihanga(Maori Funeral Rite).

Our funerals can be one of the most beautiful experiences of death. We spend three days, 24 hours straight(Family members swapping out for sleep and meals), where we laugh, sing, cry, chant and talk about the legacy of the deceased, good or bad. People will come from all over our country for it, or risk feeling the pang of grief for a longer amount of time because you never had that closure. A lot of people are taken back by the fact that laughter is a common thing for tangihanga, its sometimes considered disrespectful for those who don’t understand it, but what better medicine for grief and pain than laughter? It comes with plenty of wailing, so don’t expect it to be just one big comedy act. We eat and live together for those three days taking the pressure off the immediate family, the extended family and friends look after them, (cooking for them, cleaning, helping to pay for tangi etc) and by the time we reach the cemetery, the family are usually ready to let go of the physical form of the person. You have to understand this to get why I am saying that death does not make me uncomfortable.

Also, because deep, deep, deep…deep down, I still have faith in God and the afterlife, don’t judge okay, I grew up in a very strict godly home. Somethings just stick for life, you can’t help it

We have quite a lot of tea shops in the UK, and I like going into them and trying teas if they have any samples available. If you ever come to the UK, I recommend visiting the Whittards tea shop in Covent Garden, London. They do lots of free tea samples to drink, it’s super awesome. I don’t think I’ve ever had any fruit teas, the ones that I tend to stick to are black teas. Although, I do remember trying a nice green tea in Richmond (London) before. Tea is awesome!

I really don’t need a puppy in my life right now, no matter how cute it is. You’d probably being doing it a favor by killing it now, instead of it dying from either neglect or being eaten by the other rabid dog ’s in my neighborhood…Ends up being a bit of win-win for everybody!
