3/5 is perfect? The heck?
The game has solid JRPG gameplay, and the support and stat abilities are simple yet add a level of complexity (no true gamebreakers or unbeatable combos here) if you go for a tougher challenge.
The storyline mashes cliches into a comic story better than most Flash games, with somewhat funny dialogue,
Another thing I loved was that the difficulty lives up to its promises. Epic definitely requires a different approach than all others before it.
I do agree with boyblue, though, that a save point after every major boss would be nice.
Overall, this RPG entertained me more than many a mainstream game did in the past, and I look forward to the next one. A 5/5 from me.
I say, things tend to... be really odd in this game, aside from the apparent satire it makes of Christianity. Satan, apparently, is a bit untested; little to no hitstun, invincible on specials recovery. Blocking only saves you from melee attacks. Execution of specials is painful (you can't make quick inputs) and hit detection is flat-out inconsistent. A 2 for actually making a fighter, but fighters usually don't make for good Flash games.
