Great game - I love it. My only request is that when you start a hunt quest, you're out of the immediate range of mobs. It's frustrating when you start the quest, only to be immediately attacked by a bunch of mobs, killing the party.
Fine game. I'd like a way to slow down though if I use a speed boost. Hitting the breaks doesn't work and if I overshoot my target, it's very difficult to recover (usually ends the game).
That's an interesting strategy Scram - I'll certainly try it. My experience, however, was quite different as I never moved a tower once it was placed. I certainly exploited overlapping cleric towers and upgraded the all the five times boosted towers, but moving towers around would have been too expensive (especially on the extreme difficulty levels). I'll give it a shot though.
I really enjoyed the game - well done. Thank you for the chamber of secrets. While the game would have been possible without it, the chamber certainly made things less 'guessy' and enjoyable.
Benboy221 - I've done all four. It doens't matter. I find that hunter is the hardest though. Keep in mind that the game works on %. No matter how many magic points you have, at best you can only have four casts (25%). Magic regen is capped at 2%, so don't keep pumping points into wisdom if you want to do magic. After you max out, do strength and avoid agility. If you want to go dodge, dodge caps out at ~40%, so then pump everything into strength and avoid wisdom.
Okay, this is crazy. I can be ON TOP of a guy in the bonus level, where EVERY ONE of my bullets hit the guy and I don't get hit, and I can't kill them (they withdraw before I can kill them) - mainly the hamster wheel and the lady holding the globe. This isn't even fair. Magic is the only way to go in this game at the moment. At rank 17 and 69 base damage.
I agree with the other comments - I really enjoyed this game and was playing it again this morning. Now, this afternoon, I can't do any damage (68 base according to the character screen but only do single digits on mobs?). Please either increase the player dealt damage, or reduce the damage dealt by the later mobs. Magic seems to be the only viable option.
There's a bug that if you get balloon defense, you can have unlimited defense. When the defense runs out (you hit a mine), hit pause, look at upgrades, and then hit play again - the balloon defense will be reset.
I had a heck of a time with level six until I figured out the trick - don't focus on dropping the golden pieces, but focus on getting bonuses. Creating two tan combo in a row will add time to the clock - keep focusing on those. Then focus on putting two green combos in a row to put in the explosive bonuses. Dropping the golden pieces should be an afterthought.
One question - do taking out the enemy miners really make a difference? I can keep them killed for minutes, and I'll still encounter a steady supply of enemy miners/units.
Great game. Taking control of a character really helps with the giants since you'll do 3x damage. Additionally you can sneak behind enemy lines and beat on the statute for a little bit. Ggeoff2002, I found I needed much more than swordsmen - at least beyond the first few levels (especially on hard). Never found much use for wizards, but spearmen were great.
I like the concept over all, but there are way too many bugs. Often the buildings wouldn't build, so I'd have to save and restart to get the circular progress indicator moving again. Unlimited gold by selling and buying commodities. I completed the world conquering wonder... and nothing happened. The game ultimately froze when I upgraded my castle to level, to the point that a save and restart won't fix it. Good start, but the game needs a lot of work.
