i think that tribal card that allows to live for one more level is too powerful. it pretty much give the char two more attacks. this is because tribal usally are slower and therefore, there is one attack for that turn, and an attack for next turn.
may be change it to one more attack after you die. this way you can choose to rest and attack next turn or just attack when you know you are going to die.
this game is much faster and smoother then 2 which is good. Nice try on adding something new with the knife part, it sucked, but the rest of the game was good enough to compensate
love the style. It is wonderful. I agree with cloud that combo hit could be introduced to truly kick ass. 4/5 because death is not handled every well. No penalty for death and the game kinda just moves on. Also what is with not healing after each battle.
OH this would be cool, introduce a bullet time thing, where you get like 3 sec pause or slow motion where you cut through a shit load of enemy at once.
the drag and drop is horrible, makes a fun game very hard to play. Would be better if we can hover the mouse over a square and set with key board, or even click and set. for this reason only 3/5
and what i mean by that, is that chance should only exist, i believe, on moves can be used often enough in ONE game that the crit/miss/hit chances averages out over many moves. For example, i have no problem with the chance on sling shot, the odds on that move is aprox 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 for hit/crit/miss. Therefore, the chance can easily be averaged out over a single game. What i do have a problem with is move such as ray of light and other BIG finish move having a miss chance of 5%. This is problematic in two ways. First it is very hard to set up these moves. it often takes many turns, and good switchs to set one up. therefore the miss, even know it is one out of 20 is heart breaking, and often that means a win turns in to a loss. Secondly, there is no way this odds can be reflected in a single game. no way it can be put into the calculations. All it means is one out of 20 games, you loss in a stupid manner. This does not help the game.
I have to say that the luck factor is too big in this game. This game is more like chess when it come to the ability to get more favourable positions. however there are too many moves that has a crit or miss chance. This chance does nothing for the game other then making the out come more random. The more random it is, the less strategic it is.
I do believe chance has a element in this game, and i am not those that say this game is pure chance. it is far from it. But i do believe the chance factor needs to be more managed and more focused
