So I made it all the way to the floor 35 boss, who seems utterly impossible. I checked advice threads here for the first time and learned I shouldn't have any points in defense, armor, or heal. I shouldn't hire any veterans or snipers. I have to make my party even worse in order to progress. This is so bass-ackwards... no. No no no no. I quit. Screw you. Goodbye.
Wow, the level with the turtle crossing the poison is just... impossible. How can you ever get troops across in numbers sufficient to take... anything? I've been at this over half an hour. Just impossible.
Lived with the new UI for a day now... yeah, gotta say it tries to do too much. I appreciate the effort to revise all the graphics... but the new layout is just overly busy and there are now way too many clicks to sort through things. It also runs much slower and I have problems with it freezing all the time. This might be the end of my investment of time in what as a truly pleasant time-waster, but has now turned into a bit of a chore. This coming from someone who has spent real-life $ on the game.
I'm on 120 now, and I think I've done all there is to do. There's nothing left except clicking the upgrade buttons every once in a while. It was fun while it lasted, though.
Over 20k Angel investors, and still don't see myself getting close to 300 oil companies, ha ha ha. I'll keep grinding! (Why on Earth do I keep caring? Don't I have something better to do?)
Trying to get a head start on tomorrow's badge of the day. First impression - whomever is aiming for me is doing a pretty **** job of it. Bullet hell game where I can't aim my own gun? NEXT.
Lovely graphics, but very linear and derivative game play. Towers are difficult to differentiate, upgrades are all the same and insignificant. This has been done dozens of times before, and much better.
10 seconds in: "Let's go to the tavern and I will tell you..." Great. How do I do that? There's nothing to click on in town except "watchtower". No explanation for these clunky controls, nothing to do that I can find. When a game makes it this aggravating just to start, it's not worth the bother.
Played it through once. Ending #8. Raining frogs, with no conclusion to the story. Confused. A little annoyed. More questions than answers. Not sure of my own motivation anymore. Depressed. Going home.
That is VERY strange. I tested each version update to make sure the data made it to the next version, plus it would be weird for part of the data to be loaded and not the rest. Anyway I'm sorry about that! :(
Yeah, that ending is pretty light and doesn't explain much. You'd have to get a few more to piece things together.
