hmmm, sorry for double post...
but people seem to having alot of trouble with the mothership and I'm guessing it's alright to give some tips? not exactly spoilers or anything...
I've read that when you *first* see the mothership, you can actually take its health down a bit, so I just save up an "S" and unleash the fury on it. Then try to save up some combo of "M"s and "L"s for the end. Use all of them straight away on the mothership. Hit any big mines as soon as you see them. Use it no matter what and if it's "M" or "L" use on the mothership. Kill the small ships as soon as they come out (just aim a bit above them). And... if there's a mine near the mothership might as well hit that too =)

finally complete it and didn't get badge....
waited for the ending screen to finish... came up with score.... no badge....
*sniff*
but I have the hang of the game now so I'm sure i could complete it again if this gets fixed...
I like arrowglider3's idea...
wouldn't be very good if you could save every level... but if you had checkpoints every 5 or 10 levels... and maybe you can restart from the checkpoints limited amount of times... then the game would be less being mainly luck
