the weakness debuff is just there to prompt you that you should change your strategy. as far as i can tell the game is deterministic, the optimal strategies in the game is based entirely around taking advantage of that
As for suggestions, I would like a quick restart button. I'm often testing different setups and figuring out what makes for good synergies. It leads to me having to reset often, and going to the menu, then change map, then picking the map I'm working on, then going back into the game quickly becomes a drain. I think for towers, after upgrading, able to view the description of the upgraded tower after the fact. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a way to do this. Maybe allowing targeting to be set backwards with right mouse button, or a targeting menu that lets you move between targeting orders at whatever pace you like (for instance, picking strong, then going to 'first' without having to click through weak). I don't know what DPS buddy is for, a tooltip or something would be nice. There's more, but I've reached a character limit.
Also, try not to let the ratings get you down. You do have something here, but Kongregate has a long history of attracting an audience of people who give unfair ratings consistently, and tend to not put much thinking into their ratings. The game does have potential, and I wouldn't let the ratings dictate that.
I really like this game. As far as game design goes, it takes a lot of care that you don't really see nowadays anymore. Many meaningful upgrades that allow for many synergy combos, which leads to a game of strategy that, really, could have someone busy developing, theorizing, and min-maxing for days/weeks, so the replay value is there, and the game design is nice. Plus, the niche of appealing to people who enjoyed older TD games, which aren't really developed often as of late, gives you immediate appeal to an audience, it's actually why I clicked the game at all.
All in all, I think it has a lot of potential, and it isn't a redundant game/project at all.
I'm really liking the new update. The game feels like a fresh coat of paint. I finished everything there was to do prior to the update and I'm interested in doing it again now.
I think I've reached the end of progression. I think it's a pretty cool concept and execution. Weak points are definitely UI and lack of warning when taking some actions.
Good game. But a few things:
The weak spot achievement is spelled "Week Spot"
Sometimes its unclear how many aspect points you have
Looking forward to playing this game some more.
About your comment on autoclickers: It isn't a fun, innovative, or somehow valuable experience for a game to require clicking to the extent it does. It's actually something detrimental to health, seeing as the first couple years of idle/clicker games was all about clicking. If I'm a cheater for using autoclicker to potentially prevent any negative health effects on myself, then I guess I'm a cheater. It shouldn't be a negative thing that I have to be called a cheater if I'm trying to avoid a potential health issue.
Glad to hear that, thanks for playing~
