Played for about 30 seconds and already I feel like it's another cookie cutter game just like all the crap base building games on facebook where you have to sit for days to do anything unless you spend real money. No thanks.

It looks like one of the achievements is broken. I have over a million gold and still haven't gotten the achievement for it. Also, I had 3 amazings and a perfect. I'm assuming a perfect is better than an amazing, but I didn't get that achievement, either.

I have to agree with Thaedos, this does have a lot of potential. I think the artwork is a bit off, though. It's not so much that any given graphic is bad, it's just that the main character has a much smoother-looking sprite than the enemies. Not a major issue, but just a small thing that irks a bit. Something you may consider is making it so that the mouse can be held down to continuously attack. Also, I played for a bit, but nothing really happened. Enemies kept coming and I just kept swinging. You should probably put in a break here and there where the game stops and a menu comes up where players can purchase things with their points. Perhaps increase stats, buy a better sword, etc. Also, back on the artwork, the jetpack on the hero looks a bit goofy. Just doesn't seem to really fit. Once again, not a big problem, just irks a little.

Chaos, I think what people are trying to say is that it doesn't look like you put much work into this beyond what the shootorial already handed you. The thing is, if you put it some extra work into something like this, it could be a lot better. Perhaps have different weapons and ships that people can select that have different speeds, more armor, etc, and give people some special weapons like missiles and bombs. Would mix things up a bit and keep them from being too generic. The special weapons would even be pretty easy for you to code if you're serious about learning. Maybe you did put a lot of effort into this game, maybe you didn't, but you've got to have some more orginality to it or people won't be interested. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, I'm saying it for your sake as an aspiring coder.

Awesome idea, but it seems like the game just didn't have enough work to really make it as good as it could have been. Something that might pull people in a better control scheme (use wasd and arrow keys, also, shift, b, space and k are all very far apart from each other, making the controls harder to use) Also, the controls can be a little unresponsive. Perhaps you should work on the coding for controlling your character to make it a little easier to control. Also, something that might pull people into the combat more is have enemies explode into a bunch of little balls instead of just the one. You could even have each little sphere they explode into become a pickup for points or something. I ran into an enemy in the second area that I couldn't hit with bullets or regular attacks. Think that might've been a bit of a bug. I ended up having to run from him and died to the next enemy.
