Tip for getting quick kills while maintaining a low death count: try to find (or make) games with no enemy nickname and use the surroundings to your advantage, i.e. camoflauge. Instead of charging towards other players wait for them to come to you. Most of the time people are too preoccupied to notice someone who's crouched behind the scenery.
@supercj: All you have to do is use 'Hold Fire', which is in the Officer Commands. It doesn't cost anything and you can use it instantly as many times as you need to.
By the way, you can head over to mudandblood.net to enter a contest to create an Allied unit that could be used in the final patch. Better hurry because contest ends by February.
@Dragionnia: The Officer, once ranked up, gives you free TP, Morale, and removes flankers, all at random depening on how high his xp is. If he could have a BAR or something similar then it would be extremely unbalanced, because he could get a lot of xp a whole lot easier.
@troopdude: I used to feel the same way about Gunners, because they took so long to level up. However, I've found that sticking them in a bunker above the 'BATTLE PAUSED' sign with some covering fire by a Spec Ops allows them to rack up kills pretty quick, no matter their rifle (and I've had one that had 9 rifle go all the way up to 60). Morale is really important too, and since morale boosts are only 1 tp, you might want to try that early on if the Gunner's slow at racking up kills. Hope that helped.
Is it just me or do the German's tanks not have health? For instance I know our Sherman can be gradually destroyed by anything bigger than a bullet, but the German's tanks have to be hit dead-center in order to be destroyed.
I think I know why this game isn't as popular as it needs to be; it's because this game is challenging, meaning you have to seriously know what you're doing in order to be successful. It's not like all those other 'strategy' games we call Tower Defense or things of the nature, where it's 'I'll stick this tower here and watch it pwn' instead of macro-managing your carefully selected soldiers and directing them to the right place at the right time and preparing them for the worst. That's what a true strategy game is supposed to be about, and that's what this is made of. Maybe one day people will realize that and give this game the credit it deserves.
@TheWeaponsExpert: I understand your frustration; the Flak-38 is especially bothersome, mainly in the early waves when it seems to be the most common. However, don't give up hope yet: Mud and Blood 2 is scheduled one last patch, which is going to have a new Allied unit or two. In fact, you can head on over to mudandblood.net to design your own, which may just be implemented in the final patch.
@Mikeester: You didn't specify how you died. If it was by grenades, then it makes sense; trenches amplify damage taken by grenades. And while it adds decent protection against bullets, it doesn't mean that soldiers inside it are invincible to them.
