Nice game, but seem like there is a rather annoying bug.
When spamming base attacks, it sometime stop casting that spell, even toggeling between manual/auto attack will not change this. Special abilities/spells work just fine. Not sure what is causing this, but have happened a few (3) times now.
This is how most fights in Dragon and Titans feel, as a relative new player.
1. Your get a wooden stick to defend your base.
2. The Pro/Paying players then bring their Siege Artillery and bring down your base.
3. They call you noob in chat.
Earlier I was defending this game and even said that the game was "not pay to win", but considering the atrocity of a matchmaking system the game is using, I have to retract that statement.
This game is Pay 2 Win in its most horrible form, in other games you often get matched with people around your own rank, but in this game, time after time new players get set up against top rated players.
Good game, but have to give it a low rating, due to lack of balance, various bugs etc. (like people using controllers get a speed bonus).
Will change rating when this is fixed or less of an issue.
Also the language/harassment in the game is over the top. I know this can be difficult to fix, but as a minimum let me leave groups where people are shouting at eachother without letting it hurt my rating/leaver status.
If loosing connection during a PvE fight you lose a life, this is rather annoying considering the amount of lifes you have, and how they are regained.
I like the idea behind the game, but as a player I will most likely never get to the point where I consider buying the base expansion, as I will get annoyed by the countless deaths due to disconnect, erratic behaviour etc.
From one of the previous comments I can understand that lives/clones should be considered valuable, this is ok, but in that case the game should really be a skill game, so no random dying due to undefined AE, mines placed under trees and so on.
This game have a lot of potential, currently I just find it to annoying to play due to never really getting started with the fun parts due to stupid deaths.
We don't really want stupid deaths either (such as unavoidable ones).. The game is still under development and we hope to learn much from this release!
Controls seem not to respond very well, and targeting of grenades is unreliable. With the lives not regaining before all have been lost, this is horrible combo, as you may die due to simple mistakes.
The auto attack from waves is annoying, as you have to exit the game if you do not want to be attacked by waves, a way to disable this would be nice.
I like this game... but of late it have become a pain... without the "right" ships PvP is a pain, and PvE is to repetitive.
PvP is unbalanced and rely to little on skill. Skill is only a factor when both players are evenly matched with ships etc. and as they rely on luck... well its not that fun in the long run.
I would love to see a PvP option, where players played with blank/unbuffed ships/buildings. this way you would not be a sitting duck if you had bad luck with shielded buildings or lack of frost rounds.
I hate when I lose to someone with better "gear", but even more I hate when I win a fight against someone with no good items, where is the honor in that?
take another look at the input from the arrow keys, it looks like you are using a switch case or a if else sentence for the arrow input, try using two if sentences with a else if.
doing so may allow your char to move 4 new directions by holding down two arrow keys (hope i make sence)
Once again i must say the game is brilliant, reading the posts it seems that there are alot of people who find it difficult or certain aspects of the game difficult. personally i find the difficulty ok, i admit its challenging now and again ;) but its not impossible.
now if you got problems with the game try the following tactics.
1. invest in chickens and possible skills that increase cash. you wont get much cash from levels so main income will be from eggs.
for difficult mobs try using diffrent weapons for diffrent waves of mobs. personally i like using shotguns for the surside bombers. bowgun (with noble) for tanks and large units. if your main weapon got a long reload time keep a backup weapon for the long waves. if one weapon is not enough try 2, at start you may not get the secondary weapon you want, but still a crappy one is better than none untill you get the upgrade :)
squirrelbait, if you use firefox (and most likly also IE) try to hold down "ctrl" and scoll with your mousewheel, that should zome in/out, just remember to reset before starting to browse the web again :)
for the people who find upgrading hard, try the following.
level 1: just win
level 2: get an ally if you can get a good one, else invest all your cash in chickens + rob museum
level 3: as level 2 + gather eggs + rob museum.
continue untill you get the henchman you want. if you already got 1 save around 800g each level, buy chickens for the rest (and possible a storage slot or two, depending on your number of backup items).
if you play a charachter with the active skill focus it, if not get a npc with it as your first npc and focus it for him/her.
hint: invest all spare cash in chickens even when they cost a ton.
hint: at the first 10 levels it should be easy to get a "perfect game" with use of grenades and 1-2 repair upgrades, this give +30% bonus after each level so you can buy even more chickins :)
no need to buy wall upgrades before level 20-30, and only buy the museum upgrade if you got a ton of medals else its a waste.
It's intended... dont play in the doors!
