I wish this had some kind of thermal vision you could turn on and off. Even just changing the color of the sprites in each square would work. The heat bar system doesn't accurately reflect the hot zones and makes it difficult to design a system around heat dissipation. Other than that it is a great sim.
level 310... still no coal. Lots of reagents but no coal. How do I get coal other than drops? I have 30 dragons and all orange armors but nothings dropping coal. I had a crystal but no coal. I just need that black bituminous coal. Maybe I should kill a nun so santa will give me lots of coal. Coal coal cole kohl COAL!!!!
Use New Game + often. The percent multiplier is the key to getting new bosses and rituals quickly. Keep killing and re-spawning skeletons to beat the first few campaigns. Do not feel challenged by the upper levels, use the 10x and 100x when you use New Game plus to quickly refill your ranks. You can respawn skeletons after a couple of whacks with the Midas artifact and then quickly go to the boss screen and buy the bosses on the first tier. Then just click a couple of times in the other minons to get everybody to ten. Once you do that fill in your rituals on the first tier and then go back to minions. If you do this on the upper levels you can leave for a couple of hours and build multiplier idle. You can make quick gains in a short time this way.
The food upgrade is almost useless, I suggest changing it into a loot chance modifyer for all types of loot instead of just food.
I have most of the upgrades but there is no real big battle and the bow is a real pain in the ass to use. The arc creates challenge but why not just increase accuracy and allow the enemy to move on multiple axis? Why not create enemy units like trebuchets and mounted knights or a castle to defend? You could expand combat into a more fleshed out defense game and give the stats more relevance.
The graphics could use some help, but do the job. The scaling takes a day or so to get rolling but the territory bottleneck is still the main stumbling block.
This is not a game for people who want instant gratification. It will take a day or so to really get rolling.
did you try crafting coal?
