When I first started, I gave this game a 4/5. It has tons of potential, and seems pretty nice... but the balancing is unbelievably bad. The enemies all do one-hit-KO levels of damage, and the upgrades for your characters are horrendously expensive and don't have much of an effect on combat. The whole thing is massively disappointing. My review has gone down steadily, and now... all my 1 are belong to this poor, unfinished game.
So the game makes it sound like resetting is a viable way to farm crystals, by saying that you can keep your heroes and titans. Except when I DID reset, I lost EVERYTHING. This means that the only way to "farm" crystals--for me, at least--is to play pvp for days on end. The crystals that you need in order to do anything. Way to ruin your series, guys.
Reset will reset everything except kreds heroes, titans and crystals.
Reset is made to be able try different route if you found wall stage like 8A .
And yes farm-able crystal only available on PvP but once you reach later lvl hard mode / early epic mode , your crystal balance will be overloaded.
In the theme of raiding, many MMOs have "mining nodes" where you can get various materials. I think it would be cool if one of the things you can do is mine rare materials in whatever farm map you're in by clicking on nodes until they break. Then they could be used to craft things like the one-use scrolls, which drop too rarely in my opinion.
Doodle God is now one of those annoying games on Facebook that urges you to pay for convenience, and then pester your friends into paying too. This is what killed Epic War. I know game designers are looking for ways to make money--we ALL are, starving musician over here--But this energy system and the popups have turned a fun series into an annoyance.
A great game, but some levels need serious design... reconsideration. When there are only a couple places to effectively place traps, and barricades are too expensive to make things go to other paths... things get very frustrating very quickly. Also the cost of traps and especially upgrading could use some nerfing. Considering that the vast majority of enemies drop 5-10 gold, it takes forever to amass enough money to deal with large mobs.
I think it would be pretty cool if you could purchase grid extensions, or more grid fields. It would be truly intensive, but I think it would be really neat if a certain research path ultimately led to the grid redesigning itself as hexes or octagons--allowing for more adjacency combos.
I feel like many upgrades are worthless by the time you can afford them. Especially the upgrades sacrificing nests, queens, etc for better manual hatching of the lower tier.
The fact that you only receive XP with armor for getting hit... It would make more sense that you would learn how to move and fight in armor by just moving and fighting, rather than by standing and letting zombies smack you. We should get a tiny amount of XP in armor by just finishing objectives.
My one and only complaint about this game: This is 2015. Can we PLEASE have a larger resolution playfield? I hate getting ambushed by things I should have seen, but couldn't because I was aiming 3 inches away from the character.
Tickle power! Enjoy it. =)
