What am I missing here - how do you get gold chests? Does every card have to be silver already to get to gold? That seems unlikely. Can someone explain what I'm missing?
Ugh. Not even a game, but a story. And a poorly written story, at that. The one bright point is that it's short, so I didn't waste a lot of time getting this stupid badge.
The save is broken. I have to repeat the last level I completed when I come back. This is really annoying at the high levels, where each level takes a longer time.
%&! this game. I finally had a great character, except I never found any food. Ever. Not a single one. I bought all the food from every merchant, I used wishes for food twice, and I eventually starved to death.
I was enjoying this game until I reached the part where dying makes you redo a level you've already done. This is a terrible design decision, and completely ruins the game. Get rid of that, developer! Correct your horrible mistake!
I agree with those who have said that the controls feel slightly clunky. Level 5, in particular, required a lot more tries than it should have just because of slight misses or missteps. But I definitely like the concept, and enjoyed playing it.
The regen/protection recovery time is waaaaaaay too slow. When a viable strategy includes "kill all but one monster, then run in circles for several minutes," there's something wrong with your game.
Seriously, the regen rate is so far beyond acceptable. I have to spend a few minutes running around in circles with one zombie chasing me just to regen so that I don't lose. That's not fun, it's just tedious. If not for the badge, I certainly wouldn't do it.
So when you die, the mother and daughter start crying, and the father and son are like, "Meh, whatever." You might want to think about the sexist tropes you're perpetuating.
@felixr2 - Unit Circle was my very last light world 3-star, requiring more than twice as many attempts as any other light world level. And it's looking likely to be my last dark world 3-star, as I'm now down to three remaining, and that's the one I'm still farthest on from highest score to 3-star score. Maybe there's a great strategy for when you have blue lines coming from both sides at the same distance, but short of achieving that perfect spot which will be in the microscopic gap between them (while you're moving with no control over how you move), I don't know what it is.
I don't get why Unit Circle has a higher 3-star score than any other level. It's definitely harder than things like Busta Line or Beam Ball, because you are so restricted in where you can move. Most of the other ratings seem reasonable (even as I struggle to get the last six stars), but that one just seems off to me.
Am I missing something with the sell mechanic? I drop items in the box, they disappear from my inventory, but it doesn't seem to do anything. What does selling accomplish, other than getting rid of items I don't want?
