@ david, if you consistently do the free wheel every day, odds are you will eventually get a couple of books of astrology/gold chest keys.
This isn't really hard work besides getting lucky, but you do have a chance to get the items offered in the gold shop.
No armor bomb, because then there would be no reason to play any race but human unless the elf unit had so much dodge it was stupidly op, and the undead unit took so much reduced damage it was stupidly op.

I'm ennoth, level 47, with an orange, a purple, and similar costs with tier two archers and infantry.
Format your formation so the squishy expensive crap doesn't get hit.
@ elementzor you can also get a silver key for 50 reputation. Silver is easy to come by, and bronze chests OCCASIONALLY give something useful.
Arena's at the high level 30's start to give 50 honor a win, which makes the keys much easier to come by.
The dev is in no way forcing you to buy gold for keys, but i do agree that he in strongly attempting to get people to buy gold for the rest of what you said.
Although, i'm not sure what you mean by resources as the resource pools are useless anyway.
You don't need to pay to win for this game because it's not based solely around pvp.
Granted, it does help out a lot, and you CAN pay to win, but it is not necessary
If you don't want to pay, don't, and just enjoy the pve parts of the game.
