This game took even longer to load than the previous version. I am surprised the save files are completely compatible, since the game is by two different authors, but I prefer the original a lot better. This time, the game is more of a serious dungeon crawler than a lighthearted kill-all-fluffs-in-the-forest that made the original so great. Plus, my favorite feature, the one where you can load up several commands at once so that you can chat without having to click on menus in the game, was taken away. Although I do like the challenge mode and skill mode that was added, I can't say this game is really a "sequel". Also, only two music tracks in the entire game! Oh well, it's still a good game, give it a try.
It took several tries to load this game, because this is an older computer. It would have been nice if there were a loading bar, please add one. When the game did finally load, I realized why it took so long. The opening cinematics, though funny, was a bit unnecessary and I had to adjust the quality to low just for the cutscene to finish. The game finally started, and I was trapped in a dark room with a bed for awhile, but after the game picked up a bit, I was pleasantly surprised at the mixture of detail and humor placed in the game. The fact that you can queue commands so that you can continue to chat without interruption is a very nice feature, and the graphics and music are breathtaking. I didn't have the willpower to complete Level 42 (which by the way is my favorite level), but I have to say this is definitely a great game! For those having trouble in the first room, check your inventory, which is a bit hidden when you first play. ;)
