Also collision on enemies -- if they're not moving, they do nothing to you other than serve as a surface that stops you or that you can jump off of/stand on. Some of the jumps require you to jump from right at the very edge of a platform, use a (short) buff to barely clear spikes, and continue on as though it was easy. Duration on powerups ON NORMAL is still ridiculously short, requiring you to run as though you were speedrunning the game, which given all the issues in my previous comment and this one, require you to be extremely precise, which a lot of people aren't, leading to throwing your character at a problem again and again and again, starting the level over with zero checkpoints ON NORMAL. If you're looking for a fun casual game to play, this is not the game for you.
There is absolutely zero tolerance as far as hitboxes go, so even if the empty corner of your sprite hits the empty corner of an enemy's sprite, you're dead and have to start over. There's also no buffer period between when you contact a wall and when you jump away from it, so I've often hit the very corner of a ledge while trying to double jump and it'll immediately launch me away from wherever I'm actually trying to go at mach 7. Final thing I've noticed so far is that wall jumping off of the blank edge of the screen is buggy at best, meaning I had to try for 10 minutes to get the secret part or whatever that needed you to jump off the wall and dash before your powerup ran out. Fun story and concept, but needs refinement.
So there's a bug at the end of the pc levels: I completed level 143, and the game proceeded to load into the supposedly unavailable level 144 -- without anything to click on as shown in the following (partial) pic https://imgur.com/Tmpwgeq.png
*very* end game needs a little bit of balancing -- I've got all but one of the T6 upgrades, and even with offline boost time, the 300 temp Gen Vs, and the boost, I can't get enough Prestige points to get that last little bit
after a certain point, all you have to do is keep using a rocket in one direction and it'l keep collecting coins, bouncing you higher, and extending the time so you can get the rest of the upgrades that you skipped all in one go
I actually uncovered a cheat of sorts: if you fill what's left of a row with Xs and then place the leftmost or rightmost number that's not grayed out of blocks in at that edge, it won't gray the number out until you get it in the right position. every other game that I've seen do nonograms always grays out the number, even if it's incorrect, so you can't use it as a guide toward the right solution.
every time I restart, the arrow keys become unresponsive until I move the mouse off of the restart button, often when I jump, I accidentally hit the shift key above the arrow, and some of the collision is kinda screwy. Not the best game ever, but I don't hate it except for those rage filled moments of "oh come on!"
I really like the concept behind this game, and have been searching for something like this for a while. I was toying with the idea of making something similar myself when I found this. Any idea when the full version/sequel will be out?
indeed its pretty fun
