I'd really like a way to lower the graphics to make the game faster (Yes, I know they already aren't much) or maybe lower the intensity of the game. My current computer (which I'm stuck with for now) can barely handle this game, so some way for us with really old machines to enjoy this game would be great.
Alright, now that I've used them point defense and missiles are very very well made. I've noticed some other points of "Oh bugger" though (Probably not actual bugs)
Being able to see how you get an achievement would help, rather than needing to stumble about wildly, guessing based off the name.
Some way to tone down the sounds, since they can get extremely dull (especially the main cannon's THUD THUD THUD THUD, which only gets worse as you go)
Possibly a few more perks and Achievements, maybe perks that are only useful with other perks? I've noticed that when you get missiles it replaces the bullet ring's shots with missiles that don't home in. Maybe that could be an upgrade? Perhaps a doubleshot for the tailgun?
Other than that, it's now about as perfect as it'll get.
5/5 +fav
There wasn't exactly room for the achievement info or more perks/achievements, though both are excellent ideas and if I make a sequel I will certainly consider them. I'm unsure what you mean by turn down the sounds, but the game can be muted by pressing M if that helps. Thank you for the comment and advice!
I think the dual shot perk should, rather than making it shoot two hard to aim diagonal shots, still fire one shot normally, but fire another with a wide spread, or have both with a wide spread, making it far more useful.
Mines seem to be rather useless, since they're so tiny.
Haven't tried point defense or missiles yet though.
Tail gun is best upgrade out of them all so far though.
I'll see what I can do to make the upgrades more useful. Mines are intended to take out the small drones that chase you, and I, personally, feel that they work alright for that purpose, but I suppose I could increase their size a bit. As far as the dual shot, that makes sense, I'll implement it as soon as I can.
I got a shield at the start of my run, and near the very end I landed on one of those ground spike guys.
Let's just say I didn't survive despite my shield.
I quite like this. I'd reccomend making things a little more clear, such as what each of the in game items are (boxes, doors, etc.) and doing a little bug fixing. I've cleared a few dungeons and now my guy is stuck there, unable to move or turn, though I can attack. I think this happened because I spawned on a weapon.
I love this game.
Only complaint is that when the screen is white, it hurts my eyes.
I'd recommend an option to chose different colors, and how dark they are, so people with more sensitive eyes can enjoy this game better.
Really great suggestion! I had been considering porting this game to Xbox Live Arcade and had already considered that on a big TV the colors would be too harsh, but I hadn't realized it would be an issue on computer monitors, thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I'm really sorry for any discomfort the game caused you, and my recommendation would be to turn your screen brightness down.
Yeah, that's a big problem.
Upgrades are not meant to be a double edged sword. They are you spending some form of currency to empower yourself, nothing else. The only penalty for upgrading has always been losing a form of currency or needing to wait for the next level to get the others.
It's good to be unique, but not to wreck the point of upgrading outright, so either change to make a "cursed" upgrade zone, or make things make sense.
Please.
So each bullet changes the accuracy rating.
That makes spray a very, very stupid upgrade as I have learned.
I never truly missed with it, one bullet always hitting while the rest missed or when through the dead guy.
instead of 100% accuracy I had a 67%.
Please fix.
Could you do something about the Snail Farm and make it less luck based?
Currently, when you get a high combo, the spread of the snails is too high to be able to keep it up for long.
If however, you reduced the spread, it would be more skill and less luck.
Okay, what the hell?
That was awesome, I stopped just past the snow man, and I got Penguin God or something.
"I command you to rise from the snow and rise once more"
I appeared 50 feet back and about 100 feet in the air, already going at 40 MPH.
This got me over 3000 cash...
I actually quite like this.
A few Ideas
More grass, it's a bit ugly to have random patches.
Some lower grass, so it's not all tall.
speed up movement a bit.
Add stuff to the sky.
Possibly add entities.
I find this game to be too rough until you get the Winchester.
The moment after I got it I ended up getting killed though.
In order to survive you need to jump on the car, but that will get it destroyed quickly...
So I find little balance.
It's either too easy, or literally unplayable.
I'd rather play soccer against nobody, than against everybody, and they have guns, and can shoot me with them.
Choose.
