killerdaniel: when you're done with the main quest, you then enter the Den of Endless Evil. Therein, you're in there until you die (if gameover option was selected) or when you say "I'M BORED!".
bitpik: you find a Scroll of Portal to teleport you ONCE to the Emporium to buy/sell. You won't find any when you select at the start that you don't want to have shops for more percentage of points gaining.
@guiknator: report bug, and when you do, make sure you have the screenshot of you completing that the task - Wave 40. Ask the administrators for your deserved Badge.
