This game is partially based on luck. I managed to leap from a boot to a whale, with another whale beside me upon it, a fish tank hanging off that above me, and a table beyond all that. Needless to say, the lava claimed me. Also, what the hell are barrels doing in a house? Regardless, I can hardly believe someone put this game in Flash form. I love it, just for the concept.
Shadow Easy Modo: Make sure you have the Dash ability. Double jump helps too. Not sure about Hardy. When he charges his meteor strike, jump onto one of the platforms. Right before he charges you, dash into the wall to make yourself invulnerable. Wait there until he hits his fool self with the meteors. Grab the gems and run to the other side. (If you have Run 5, Jump 5, and Double Jump, just jump over.) Rinse, repeat. If he ducks into an alcove below the platform, you may have to fiddle around with him a bit. Dodging the level 3/4 ranged attack can be done by barely jumping over the second sword thing. Hope this helps, now stop complaining that the Shadow is impossible when he's really a pushover.
The "LOL THE NIGHTMARE NEVER ENDS" bug is probably caused by the fact that, each time you grab a dark gem, it hurts the boss. Each time the boss is hurt, the game checks to see if its HP is now at 0 (or possibly less?). Thus, you defeat the boss several times over the course of one night. This causes interesting bugs.
Assassination mode gets dull -- I gave up at level 21 and have been bored since the 5th robot came out. CC mode is decent, though -- it's an interesting puzzle. Not one I'm very good at, but the selection flashing when you have one that works is extremely helpful.
@SpacePiratePhil: 10 is not half of 20 because a third of 6 is not 2. Read the riddle again and put 2 and 2 together to make 5. (No, seriously, you can't apply conventional math to that riddle. Mull it over for a bit and do something tricky.)
This is a much better game than Hands of War. The idea of faction points was an inherently bad one, and I'm glad to see it abolished in Shadowreign. This game isn't too long, which means its novelty didn't have much time to wear thin. My only complaint is there's no punishment for death, but taking on bosses is still challenging if you're not playing a Gladiator-specialized character, since in that case you need to use everything you have to play keep-away. Still, it's quite easy, and by the time I ran into the final boss I got the hang of avoiding damage with clever use of Blinkstep, which really trivialized him.
Strange. The only bug I ran into so far was when I reloaded a game -- the quest I was on became impossible to complete as the boss creature refused to spawn.
For any of you who are having trouble with level 4: You have to use all three clauses. Give a condition to turn right, a condition to turn left, and set your default action to go straight. Think about how you got this far, and set the walls so that there's a way for all three conditions to be met at some point. It's not complicated since there's an obvious pattern to follow, but if you aren't thinking very hard it can be confusing.
That was a good mental exercise. None of the levels made me think for too long, and a smattering of trial-and-error was involved, but overall, I really enjoyed the puzzles you laid out. The last level was really a lot easier than it initially seemed, though. :) My only complaint is with the graphics, but that's a minor one at best.
I've said this several times now... How does SHOUTING REALLY LOUD miss? Do the sound waves just curve the right way so your foes don't hear them? Do you start coughing instead? Come on, resisting War Cry is fine, but missing? That doesn't make sense.
