Spoilers ahead. I dont believe that jack murdered kathryne. First of all, he forgot about the day immediatly after getting back to real world from dream world. Secondly, he was mentally ill, but he was not a mad blood seeking psycho, more of it, he never hurted anyone. Lastly, quote from 2DArray response to shout: "The implication from the first game’s flashback is that Kathryn dies in her last room (or, in game-world terms, she falls into a bottomless pit). Now remember that Fixation introduces “safe” pits in chapter 3, and some levels have both safe and bottomless pits next to each other. Both types of pits look the same to us, and we learn from Kathryn that the differences between them aren’t necessarily clear to the characters, either. What if Jack just didn’t piece together what happened until later, after the game ended?".

i cant play the game because the cheat menu aint on the ~ button for azerty keybord, will you fix this please, so i can rate it high too?
Don't worry–the cheat entry box is on the Credits page of the main menu (and the tilde key is only used to see the unlock code for the current level, but all of those are available through Google at this point).

@Stef1987 and Ghed - after you blow the smoke ring, start blowing regular smoke. The regular smoke will serve as a shield to protect you from the laser beam and buy you time to go down.

The 5th level of Shrink is beaten by activating the lower switch with smoke, and leaving the laser pointing at the top switch the whole time.

Wow, really different. Refreshing. I'm not sure which is the main part of the game, the puzzles or the dialogues. I just wish that the dialogues wouldn't move around with the characters, it hurts my eyes.

When she said she wanted to quit smoking, I was angry because it has helped so much. What has this game turned me into?

When Kathryn suggested fixing the backyard, Jack was kind enough to plant a few flowers there... Among other things...

I want to like this game. Just like I wanted to like "The Company of Myself". I like the story alot but the game play gets me every time. There are some mechanics on the various puzzles that just drive me to the point of surrender. It may be the learning curve is steeper than I like, or perhaps the unique challenges just do not appeal to me. In the end I find myself leaving the game and never having the desire to play again. Honestly I am not sure....I like other puzzle type games, this series just does not appeal to me for some reason.

Long text - no problem for me. But where's the sense in it - that's where I start to get angry about this damn text! (So if s.o. can explain the purpose to me I would be glad, thx.)

Dear everybody - aside from smoking, killing is bad for people's health, too. Yet you don't see anyone complaining in all the shooters, space shooters, FPS games, tower defense games, etc etc. It's a game. Get over it.

I can't go past the first room. It gets stuck at some loading screen or something with a light pulsing from the left side...

jeez, the difficulty in some levels s a bid insane, you might even say badly designed.
Nice concept, mechanic and style though

I think my perception may be really low, yet I can't figure out how to get through level 2-2, as this laser kill the protagonist before she canget down.

to all dumbasses arguing about the game promoting cigarettes:
The title actually is "FIXATION"; Kathryn (the protagonist) wants to FIX her chain-smoke-problem and visits a psychologist for that; in the end, when her smoking starts to get better and better (less and less as its said in the dialogue) she gets accidentally killed by some kind of boyfriend who IS ON DRUGS and, as flunky kindly pointed out, he develops a psychosis and repeats this sad story of drug abuse over and over again to his therapist...
this game DOES NOT support smoking, its just a wonderful and original and rather sad game!

The music and storytelling is superb, as well as the artistically done cut scenes. I'm going to go blow some smoke rings.

I get it!At the last, while gardening,he kills kathryn. But due to the drugs,he forgets it.And again some day, he remembers the incident, but again forgets it.This systematic short term burst of memory, puts him in a mental state as you can see in TCOM.After he lands in the hospital,he keeps saying the story to the doctor, and forgets it.Again the next day he realizes the incident and says it to the doctor.Hence if you see at the ending of tcom, the doc says that the "patient" is repeating the same thing everyday................Tragic story
