"Sometimes you do things you wouldn't normally like or forget about stuff entirely. In the worst cases, both at once." Things you wouldn't do:lie + kill, forget. Jack does remember Kath, he just doesn't remembering him meeting her this day, due to the effect of drugs. He doesn't remember killing her either. It has been much more than just one day, as far as I see it of course. He tells you about him meeting Kath in "the company of myself", but then he doesnt remember killing her either. Somehow it feels like there is a large missing part of the puzzle to the story, even knowing the story of tcom

In TCOM, It sound as if Jack is just a man with troubles he has to over come and he's the victim. That shows his point of view in one way. At the end it says"If i could just seen it from a different view, maybe i could have stopped and things could have been different." So this is that way, to fufill his wish. From here, it shows him being both the victim and prosecutor. Here, it shows Kathrine has problems too. She eventually gets over them. I don't think Jack does. In both(i think) he mentions his "pills/medications" which are really drugs. From some side effects leading to anouther, it means and i quote

I'm not going to lie, I got to the last level, and knew what was about to happen. I almost started crying... This series grabs my emotions and yanks them, hard. Amazing job, simply amazing.

so that one up top hot where it says something about his top hat, if you look at the screen in the very last panel you can see his top hat in the corner on the table.

The crazy but funny dialogue, the weird settings, the atmospheric music.... its all beautiful, in a creepy way. There's a lot of depth and things to think on in the story and don't get me started on those DAMN PUZZLES. ;) 5/5

I think this game could've been just a tiny bit improved by keeping the bar on the side from the smoke ring tutorial level that shows the timing for the rest of the game. Doesn't really affect the difficulty, but I don't sit around wasting twenty minutes on one easy switch because I keep getting the timing wrong.

For who is complaining that the game promote smoking, try pay attention on the dialogues, it can make your life better. And yes, product placement is one bad way publicity works on, but don't misjudge artistic expression and philosophical aspects that you didn't even try to understand with this. It's not making taboos that things are solved, you can learn this from this game too.

I was on the verge of tears during chapter four. It's their song. Not to mention, it has that angelic ambiance to it now, so it's a super tear jerker.

This is a beautiful game that blows the more simplistic story platformers out of the water. Just like how The Company of Myself took a step forward in games as art, this is the next great step - a complex story with interesting characters, all told through the awesome level design. Platformers - heck, all games - should strive to be this good. Well done.

After 5 mins I decided to follow my puff of smoke to get the EHUP and it worked, I don't know if that is how you do it, but that is how I did it and I think it will work every time. I field tested it so yea 100% of the time for me it worked!

Why when I make a comment about the game taking a long time to load for me does it get down voted.
Do people only want to hear good things and anything that's bad should just ve minused so they don't have to look at it?

'Subliminal message' can explain anything. By your logic then no one-kids should see anyone smoking anywhere because they are suggestive of smoking. Overprotective so much? I for one do not get thirsty just because I watch someone drinking a coke. Why would anyone feel the same for smoking, especially when they have never smoked before? Sure we are influenced by our surroundings, but people have control over how we are influenced, far more than you may think. It's not like the game blasted in your face that smoking is good, but actually the contrary - that it is bad. If anyone smokes after playing this game then it is their decision. It's not anyone's fault - not the game's.

Words fail me. You've done it again. You made me care about... ~feel~ for pixels. This, in conjunction with TCoM is positively one of the finest examples of storytelling in any game ever. I've put in 60+ hours into old school RGP's and didn't have any feelings towards the characters. Most impressive.

Product placement - never heard of it? Subliminal messaging. Because someone drinks a coke, you suddenly get thirsty. Works the same way here. It's absolutely terrible to put this up in a game like this.

Honestly if anything, the game suggests smokes can block lasers and rings can turn on switches. I mean good luck with that. Obviously fictional indeed... do you really think the minors are so idiotic that they don't know that?

@2DArray On level 5-6 (I think, the one where he does the 'magic trick') there is a spelling mistake. She says 'impessive' instead of 'impressive'. Other than that an absolutely amazing prequel to an already amazing game.

Another one of those people who read phatom suggestions. In what way does the game promote smoking? I am fairly positive the narrative actually tells you it is not good thing to smoke at all. In fact the more you progress into the game the more there are smoking-restricted areas (to my dismay actually, was somewhat hard, this game). Oh sure, "smoking" is required to overcome ingame obstacles... as much as swords, black magic, and grenades are required to destroy ingame monsters. Does that look any ethical to you?
