I almost teared up, escpecially with the bonus message at the end. I feel there should be more games like this. In my opinion, "art" games are only truely good if they provoke thought, emotion, or better yet, both. This game does more than enough to do that. This game deserves an award of some sort.

This is one of those games on kongregate that every player, played it atleast once. One of my favorite games and I continue playing it for the remindment of the game and the story. Truly one of the best games on kong, all time.

After seeing the Badge of the Day, I opened the game and immediately earned my bonus 15 points, since I already had the badge. I played it again anyway, still a fantastic game. The only thing I'd knock it for is the jarring ending--I felt it could have been more mind-blowing, and that would have been easily done by including more details that we see included in the game. Imagery, such as the flowers, lends to a very interesting twist on the ending, and more things such as that would have made it even more impactful. Regardless, I love this game.

I emailed David Carney, the guy who did the music for this game and congratulated him on his work. He truly made a great piece for this one, I'm sure we all agree.

As I played this game I thought this guy "Jack" was a guy who lost his loved one and it was a really sad tale. But as you dug deep into his thoughts I saw that it was a psyciatrist talking to him. At the end they tell the tale of Jack in a mental hospital and he was the one who murdered his wife......I still feel sad and loney for jack's fate.

I am so thankful that they made this badge of the day, just so people have to play it to get the badge. This is one of the best flash games out there.

The symbology is intriguing, the two flowers he puts instead of one symbolizing that he has died with her. The green box in the levels always leads to more difficult levels, and in the end leads to nothing. The levels with Kathryn were the easiest. The ending (Under The End of credits) suggests that he may not be mentally insane, or not as mentally insane as he lets on (the game never gave us a diagnosis or character trait other then loner/killed his wife so I have no clue what to call it other then mental illness). Perhaps it was an accident, perhaps he knows what he did and he's afraid of ever letting anyone in again, perhaps he is trapped in a prison of his own mind where he was forced to watch himself do it without being able to stop it. So he acts dangerous, crazy, so they can lock him up to be by himself in solitary for life. Maybe as punishment, maybe so he will never let anyone in again, or maybe because, without Kathryn, he feels he will always be alone.

Great game , i agree should be a "art" directory or something like that , for games like this.
@off topic: the rofl testers names ruined the end

I'm loving the story..... my only problem is I'm stuck on floor.... 19? 20? The floor starting with "What? Don't leave yet! I've got more to say! I really do!" I can't figure out how to get across the chasm with no barriers or anything... Do I jump across my "shadows of a former self"? Can anyone PM me with some assistance if they can? I wanna see the ending m'self!

I start tearing at the "the end" screen, then i see "thanks to all the testers" and names like "Justinlovespenis" and "gaywalker" pop up and ruined it for me lol

@achievementdude: how can he come out with a sequel, 1. it said the end. 2. it said that this was his last time working with the patient.

Excellent game, if it made me mad a few times before I figured out the solution (standing still so won't fall off me). But loved the music and mood, if it was very sad too. But just how flash games should be, interesting, challenging, not too long, worth playing.

I noticed that every time you reset the level the grass regenerates and comes out with a different pattern. Good detailing and storyline, i wish there was a fast forward button for clones though. Sequel please~

This is the most depressing flash game I have ever played... hell it may be the saddest thing (aside from the lovely bones) ive ever seen

The story is depressing & sad and the ending "this will be my last report on Jack" was heart breaking and also he does remember the shrink "the shrink leaves, and suddenly i don"t even have a person to tell my story to".This game made me cry rate 5/5.
