I'm not entirely sure it's a good idea to encourage the use of resources you don't own for profit. I'm not talking about APIs. I'm talking about ripping sprites from commercial games that you don't have the licensing rights to use. I mean, wouldn't that theoretically give the companies that own said art grounds for litigation? I don't think fair use covers commercial redistribution.

Badlim has missed a lot of articles (as in the part of speech like "a" and "the") and there are several spelling mistakes and "which" is spelled wrong (in that context.) You really need to either check your work again or find someone to completely go through it before it is posted. It would aso be nice to see a table of contents added that sends you to the pages and some warnings about sprite stealing. Even if they are not actually copyrighted, they are still intellectual property.

Cirrial are right. i have a little story: there was a german flash-movie site called ballz.de... one day the owner of the site created a real cool movie-serie. in one of the epsiode of the serie he used a song, which was writen by a "famous" german singer. well... he not exactly took the song and used it... he sing it and played it by himself. anyway... after this he got some letters from the lawyers of the songwriter... and now the side don´t exist anymore, because the flash-movie-site-owner got busted... O.o and maybe other flash developer use ripped things too... but maybe no lawyer is interested yet in things like this or didn´t realized it. it could also be, that you can use ripped things from games, which are very old... but if you use new games... it could be bad... i think, that when you tell something about ripping and using sprites from exisiting games, you should also read the current laws and inform the reader of your tutorial about that

hey, I appreciate what you did. 5/5, a lot of programmers really should take at least a brief look at your vid, it's a good "get your feet wet" look at flash game jobs
