Uh, nevermind... there is a pathway on the outside that allows leaked foes to re-enter your screen and get killed again, so you really have infinite lives.

Leaked enemies are apparently still present in the game. As such, you could say that you only have one life in this game. Just because you changed the path doesn't mean it's any better than - or even up to par with - your usual TD clone.
