Description
Welcome to one of the less well-known summer games events: the Suicide Javelin. In this event you can increase your overall distance by getting hit by your own javelin!
How to Play
-1. Set the angle by pressing ‘J’ (and keep holding it to run).
-2. Throw the javelin by releasing ‘J’
-3. Accelerate the rocket by pressing ‘J’. Release ‘J’ to break.
Try to hit your own javelin and get as far as you can. Do not throw the javelin at too low an angle so you can reach the javelin with your rocket!
You can use ESC to get back to title, if you want to retry.

I'm clearly not understanding the point of the rocket. It never reaches the javelin in time.

Thanks for the comment. You should try to throw it at an high enough angle, so the rocket will have enough time to reach the javelin. I limited the rocket speed on purpose for three reasons: ------------- 1. so that the game wouldn't be all about throwing at low angles (it would because higher angles wouldn't really bring you good scores then). ------------- 2. so that throws with which you don't hit the javelin also significantly count towards a highscore. ------------- 3. so that trying to hit the javelin would be a more balanced timing challenge instead of just always chasing the javelin at a so high a speed that it would be really really difficult to time anything right unless being just plain lucky.
