Description

This is the extended version of the game PiClimber.

How to Play

Move to the odd colored digit with AS LITTLE POINTS AS POSSIBLE. The SQUARE of the DIFFERENCE of digits stepped between is added to your score. Example: 1 to 4 = 3*3=9. 4 to 1 = 3*3=9. 6 to 6 = 0*0=0. 2 to 9 = 7*7=49.

I am kidding, of course. Actually, this game makes my head hurt. My math nerd days are long ago...

Giving the exact number of points required for the optimal path makes the game too easy. Since there is only one set of squares that add up to the total with a fixed number of elements (the height plus the width -- total number of steps), the sizes of the steps you have to work with are a given. After I've figured that out in my head, the correct path just leaps out at me by looking at the board...

When I get time I will animate the score generated each step on the screen so that people may 'debug' their different paths. I'm sure learning a thing or two about usability here :)

3-1-4-2-6-5 vs. 3-1-4-1-5-5:

4 -> 1 is 9 1 -> 5 is 16 = 9 + 16 = 25 points.

4 -> 2 is 4 2 -> 6 is 16 6 -> 5 is 1 = 1+16+4 = 21 points.

It's about the DIFFERENCE in the numbers, not the numbers themselves.
