Description
(early "Alpha" test version!)
ROCKETSLED! is a fast, frantic, no-holds-barred racing game, in true 3D. You can race on the walls, ceiling, floor- anywhere at all- and you have to be on the ready to switch and adapt every second! Your sled is racing through a randomly generated "ice tube", curving in all directions, looping, plunging, and climbing at high speeds, just like a bobcat sled. Forget what's up, down, gravity, and "right"! This is nothing like your average racing game, but once you get the hang of it, it'll have you hooked!
ROCKETSLED! is still in "alpha" phase, so we only have Single player, and 2 introductory game modes.
Currently, you can play either "Fuel Challenge" mode or "Gauntlet" mode. In Fuel Challenge, you race as far as possible without running out of fuel- something like the old arcade games that would give you more time as you passed gates. You can pick up the glowing green fuel cells for more fuel, and coins for extra points.
Gauntlet mode is the twitch-racer's ultimate challenge- the tube won't curve too much, but your speed is increasing faster and faster every second! This one is all about instant reflexes, timing, and steady nerves- the instant you land upside down, it's game over! It's the hardest game mode, but tons of fun once you get the hang of it.

How to Play
Use "spacebar" to accelerate- and keep that speed, or you won't make it through tight turns and loops!
When in the air (and this will happen a lot!), use the arrow keys or "WSAD" roll and pitch your sled so only touch the tunnel walls with the bottom of your sled. This will keep your speed high, and sled in good repair!
Use the mouse to lightly steer left and right- just try to follow the curve of the tunnel, go with the flow!
You can press "escape" at any time to pause, then simply click anywhere to resume the game.
**Cheat Mode: Holding down the right mouse button will enter slow-mo ;)
**Remember, the tube's are randomly generated, and go in all directions- gravity will NOT be where you think it is! Watch for green areas of the tube- they show you which direction "down" is, if you need.
**If you get flipped over, let off the boost, and use the left or right arrow keys to roll back upright- easy done!
Game Modes:
Fuel Challenge mode- race as far as you can without running out of fuel! Pick up fuel cells to refill your supply, and coins to increase your score even faster!
Gauntlet mode: Twitch-racing at it's craziest. The level accelerates faster and faster as your score increases- it gets intense quickly! If you land upside-down, it's game over!

This is a very unique game, and from the comments it obviously needed a good tutorial- so we added a nice video intro!

Thanks for the helpful tips SixBySevenStudio guy. Everyone, besure you try out some of the tricks the guy suggested on the (instruction) section and newly added game vid at the game screen. It will make the game feel like cocaine, I know i am hooked!

Hi all- sorry for the confusing instructions- updated! I guess I've been playing the game too much while developing, and forgot that it can be confusing for the first time. I'll be uploading a gameplay video soon, meanwhile check out the new controls, and remember- there is no ground, ignore gravity, roll/pitch to land the sled, and keep up speed! :) Thanks all!

Oh wow, I just discover that if you hold down (Right Click) during game play, a "slow mode" kicks in for some fancy features. Why did you guys not put that up on the instructions list? what other features you guys are hiding in the game- just for us to discover?
I find that Using the (W) and (D) makes steering pretty easy. Of course there can always be improvements.

I agree, and promise we are working on anti-lame updates ;) We wanted to get a build out for people to try just for now. Speaking of, it does have a goal now- the Fuel Challenge and Gauntlet modes are definitely challenging, and we'll have high scores integrated soon!
