i managed to build a snake maze. like that: 3-3-4-5-6-7-10-7-6-5-4-3. this way they followed the road. managed to kill over 1700.
but the game turns into pause-repair-continue cycle. to the end the cycle was shorter than 1 sec. i seriously doubt anyone can get past 2000, or near it.

Good updates. Like others said, it seems to realy jump up in difficulty once you hit the 1500 mark, but it was my own fault for not paying close enough attention to stop it.

For those struggling to hit that level; try using lvl 1 barracades to protect your higher lvl ones...always have an outer wall that is cheap and expendable. That way, your big guns are always firing away without risk of immediate destruction.

Okay, I've noticed a some changes. First, I see that the towers now hit their targets instantly and are guaranteed to hit, instead of shots traveling across the screen and possibly missing a target that moved out of the way in the meantime; I like this change, but I can see arguments for and against. It does make a front wall with a single hole unnecessary, since you don't need to funnel the enemies to hit them. Second, the enemies now seem to attack blocks in their way even if a clear (but twisted) path is open to the fire, so the maze strategy won't work. Third, I see the costs have changed; best strategy now seems to be to surround the fire with a Level 6 or 7 layer, then start a second layer. The "End game" button needs a confirmation dialog, as I accidentally quit my game in progress when trying to hit the nearby "Pause" button.

interesting concept, but lack of interface features and details. you can't even see the sand tower's pwr/range stats, and the intensity of water droplets waves seem to be arbitrary. I am guessing this was a practice flash for a better game, but it failed to make a good addition in the lines of tower def games on kong.
