This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Description
Inspired by Chinese Triad movies, Incend is a action-packed side scrolling shooter with innovative gameplay. The game has 5 uniquely designed stages, 2 concise training missions, and a tuned bonus mode that never ends. Graphics are stylized in 2d, sounds are crisp, and the music is custom made.
How to Play
Mouse to move, 'A' to shoot, 'S' to jump obstacles, 'D' to use items, Space to crouch, Shift to parry, Esc to pause

This game could work. I think the problem is that the player goes where you click when you press the mouse button. Hiding behind the wall or moving forward should happen when you release the mouse button. That will make it easier to do what you want to do.

Ah, I looked into training and was disappointed to just find the controls. Didn't realize I had to click a picture. Thanks for help!

I love the feel of the game in general, it's just, awkward. The controls are a bit difficult to grasp, and it is VERY hard. Keep at it though.

There is a tutorial, in training. You have to click on the picture..
Though I have to agree that it's reaaly hard. Though I like the concept, it's just to hard.
