Tbh, not a bad tutorial compare to half the people wanting D signs who spend 5 minutes. It has the basic idea, I always found rather than putting code on a MC with onEnterFrame, that it is better to put it in the frame with _root.onEnterFrame = function(){ code }. And there's a couple of things, such as you lose you see both screens. 3/5.

yet more moronrs who mute things...christan version of solution:god gave us volume control to szave us from thy noobs who didnt put one in. normal version of solution: turn the damned sound OFF at the master volume control! if you dont know what im talking about theres things on youtube >_>

Uhhh, I drew four lines to make a square, put the player inside it, and when I test movie, it puts player ABOVE it. Everything else worked fine...

You know what's fun? Copying every single letter and then seeing how it doesn't work.
I CAN post it letter by letter, but at least give us chance to see it works.

What you should do is make the text copyable, because I've typed in everything correctly (checked it twice) and my character will not move :/

Great tutorial =P But as Jerry said (Yay jerry!) It should have a mute button! I can't hear my radio with this music on =O. This will really help with my first Flash Development XD 4/5

a personal thank you from a real novice flash developer.. I fully suck at making physics engines, a nice simple one like that is a great stepping stone to work from.. any for a none flat enviroment (ei curv lines) i made one for a game i made but jumping was messed up, and going down hill didnt work well lol...
