Set on a evolutionary adventure where you must devour the weak and survive against the strong so you may evolve and reach the top of the food chain!

How to Play

Eat enough small creatures to unlock the stage exit and procees to new level. You need to eat around 20 creatures per level to evolve.

Use arrow keys to move and jump/swim
Use Space to bite.
Use P to pause
- and + to adjust volume
0 to mute/unmute
Esc to return to main menu

Nice! Enjoyed the music. Impressive amount of content for 48 hours. Have you ever played E.V.O. for Super Nintendo? Your game and that one share some similarities. If you have never played it give it a whirl. It is pretty cool. Hopefully I will find your game on the Ludum Dare site and I can rate it.

Short & nice. Art is great as always.
To note, that 45-degree leaf at right-most wall of level 2 tricked me into killing the character once. Worm makes it look like one can jump on it...

Not to be a critical a-hole, but based on what I've seen, you could do very well. I know that this game was made in a very short time, but if you were to make a sequel, I have a few recommendations. For one, in the beginning, wouldn't you eat plants or be a more cellular organism? Two, what if said hypothetical sequel/expansion followed a more traditional evolution theme (like with evolution trees based on what you eat). For example, eating more crabs might keep you aquatic, while eggs will make you more humanoid. I love the pixel art, and the game already has edible diversity. + so AdventureIslands can see.
