Description
THE LIBERATION OF NORTH KOREA is a what-if military simulation of a civil war in North Korea. The game assumes that certain regions of the DPRK start tolerating missionary activity. In response to the perceived threat, Pyongyang launches a violent crackdown. As the civilian death toll climbs, South Korea enters the conflict and imposes a Libyan style no-fly zone over the north. In THE LIBERATION OF NORTH KOREA, you control South Korean and rebel forces and your job is to keep the rebellion alive.
How to Play
If you have played PANZERS AND PARATROOPERS or PETROLEUM AND POLITICIANS, you know how to play this game. Otherwise, please try the tutorial. Thanks for playing.

It is possible to win but it is difficult to do so. There can occur long sequences where you keep on waiting for that needed card. But the story and the setting seems compelling!

An interesting game with a great deal of potential. First thing I notice is that you don't start out with a Supply, this was a good move for making it feel like the player is the underdogs fighting a larger foe, unable to do more than hold your ground at first. However after playing some I have yet to see any cards that can generate one... one might be in the game that I don't know about, but the problem is that if you can go a full 300 turns without seeing this card it then it might as well not exist. In fact this is the main problem that tarnishes an otherwise clever game. There is NO way to get the one card you want. You can spend 3-18 turns doing nothing but discarding value 3 cards, but that's no fun and leaves the player feeling like they're not in control, I understand that that's the idea but there should still be some means (perhaps even painful ones) of getting a card/resource without having to really on crossed fingers and strong hopes. 3/5 would like to play more :)

Cards need to be more balanced - after 50 or so turns, I keep getting the same cards every time.

A bit harder than a normal casual game. It both gave me frustration and enjoyment so it gets 3 stars from me. It's quite hard to plan when you're at the mercy of the RNG but I guess that's one of the game's charm.
