Battle For Wesnoth... much, much, much better, in every way imaginable. Game is boring, and graphics hurt my eyes. Too much texture and not enough fun...

That's why people underrate it. Because they think it's a timekiller like epic wars, which it's not. It's a great RPG in the old spirit, for RPG-lovers.

No, Cobo, nothing like epic war. Epic war is possibly the worst strategy game (in my mind not in others' minds) on kong. and this game is cool.

Again, guys, you being unable to hit things has nothing to do with the game. It's just a game designed for different type of gamers then you are. Move on to your hack-n-slash.

I'd ask for a save after leveling up and an indication of which units actually did level up. Draw a plus on them plz!

What do you mean "upgraded to the fullest"? There are choices to make, money to spend. Defence/attack skills, defence/attack ammunition - you never have enough money for everything. Anyway, i guess you're playing a different game. Because yes, trying to hit a fortified troll in a castle with regular archer won't work. Try using haevy soldiers and catapults, for example. And again - USE USE USE the tactical skills of your general and units' skills.

The game is fairly good if well understood; an improved tutorial is necessary, including casting of spells and unit abilities. Also, the concept of the "Supercritical" makes the game... silly. You can be winning a destructive decisive battle with no losses and watch the general die to a catapult shot for 467 damage coming from a level... 4 catapult? Ended the game. Take out supercriticals, make dice rolls less decisive, and improve the tutorial.

I can understand not being able to hit a unit when your face to face, but I had 1 unit surrounded hitting them on all four sides for 3 turns, missing every time

That's funny, LABoogie, since I'm on level 4 with highly upgraded units attacking from the sides and behind. I spent 10+ turns without scoring a hit. In that time he killed 2 of my armies who attacked from the sides.

Seriously, stop whining. You can't hit things because... wellm because you obviously haven't ever played classic RPGs and ADND-based games. Chance-to-hit depends on your attack skill, opponents defence skill and your relative positions. Then there is damage vs PV - you may hit but be unable to deal damage. I'm in mid-game with lvl6 units now and I rarely, I mean rarely ever miss.

Ok, now that I'm back home, and the computer is nice and fast, I see that the hit/miss ratio is alot higher the other games, but not horrible, more realistic. The game is pretty fun. Overall: 3/5

The "look" menu is closed the same way it's open - press the eye button.
Gameplay is pure awesomeness, haven't had that much fun since Age of Wonders.

Great idea, but god the game sucks. I've attacked like 30 times, and failed or had my attacks repulsed about... 27 times. It's just not fun when you fail everytime.

There needs to be more indication when you level up. I went through 5 battles before I realized I could level up. By that time it was too late and most of my guys were destroyed, so I had to start over.
Please add a better indicator (maybe highlight the character portrait) to show us they leveled.

Truly godawful menu and interface design. I now have up the terrain description for "road" and can't find any way to close it, preventing me from continuing. This is just the latest (but fatal) design flaw I've had to muddle my way through. Impenitrable interface, truly.

And for those of you who can't hit anything - well, try general's tactic specials. Is it just me who goes on killing sprees with 200+ dmg for each hit?
