Everyone is griping about the hit:miss ratio, fair enough, it makes the stratagy less important than luck, never a good thing. But if you think about it making a tactics game is about using stratagy to win, not how lucky you can be while slugging it out.
That being said for the 1 millionth time, I found the whole game very clausterphobic. Having to use the terrible frame scrolling to place units around a window in the middle of the screen is just a pain in the ass, maybe there is a way around it, but frankly the game isn't good enough for me to both looking for it. Nor do I really care about the next twenty comments telling me where it is. Just keep in mind that tactics require you to see the whole field, if that can't be done it becomes a pain in the ass scrolling around.

This game really isn't that good, but that could be because i dont like turn games...it would be alot better (in my mind) if it was like a game you move with the arrows and attack with space and get weapons and stuff. Great storyline though.
3/5

I kept wondering what I was doing wrong. This feels like a game that's almost really cool. but sucks ass. Imagine how medium and hard must be. game repulsed indeed. Hope you will no be ignored when you've fixed it...

Really high potential, but like someone said the 65%+ rate of Attack Failed gets old fast. I understand making it tough, but yikes.

Your attacks are failing because you don't know how to place your pieces. try reading the manual or going through the tutorials.

Not a bad idea but the hit system is well, off a bit..
Anyone else got the feeling that the lack of AI was compensed by givin too many lucky throws to the comp? Like i mean the crit ratio was about 3:1 for the comp... And it was fckin anoying to have your long nursed uberduber defens upped elite drawen intantry mauled by a small group of goblin archers! =X yea sure.. 1 hit.. GRR

attack failed. attack failed. oooh, attack repulsed, mixing it up a little. attack failed. attack failed.
GAME FAILED.

I thoroughly advocate the less attack fail/repulse concept(while trading it in for another factor, such as raised HP). It gets pretty annoyind D:
Fun game though!

Even after upgrading attack, it's still hard to hit things. And you have to choose whether you're going to upgrade dmg and attack and level up armies or if you want more armies.

Always wanted to see a Flash version of SSI's "Fantasy General", and this is clearly based on it.
Still needs a lot of work, but a good start.

great game dude but whats with the failed shots all the time and even more theres repulsed too wtf am i supposed to win this game with no hits on enemys or something. if it wasnt for that it would be an excellent game but till its fixed nope dont like it at all

Not bad, just not good. Enemy goes first and can cross entire map. Archers never ever hit. Attacks do either 1-3 or 55-75 and hit maybe 25%. And ten pages of text for directions is never a good idea. Tutorial mission that shows movement and attacking, and then tooltips that show the result of a click are the way to go.

i try to be open minded and when i read the comments i thought i should try it anyway but... this game really is bad... almost excessively so

23945631894 pages of tutorial
why i cant move my character for half of moves, attack then moves again for the other half?

can you hit i completed first three lvls and then i played and played for like 1 hour WITH OUT GETTING A FUC**** HIT COME ON MAKE A GAME WHERE YOU CAN HIT YOUR FUC**** UGLY OPPONENT

i think "hot new game" just means it's new, it has a bunch of plays, and it's rated over 3.5. you can't expect them all to be your cup of tea

A lot of effort has gone into this, it feels more like a proper game than an internet flash game. However, it is pretty hard to plan strategy when you don't know whether your attacks will hit or not.

All looks like a pretty good game like FF Tactics Advanced, but the "Attack Failed!" is a little choppy and seems like it's about a 65% chance to happen :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh, and something I forgot to mention in my last comment: remove the turn limit if you don't make it easier to hit things and kill them. Otherwise, nobody will be able to complete anything.

At least 3/4, if not more, of the attacks are either "failed" or "repulsed" and frankly that is extremely annoying. That is really the only problem I have with this game. Everything else, besides how to gain levels, is explained fine in the tutorial (though the tutorial is extremely long-winded).

Good but I the "attack fail" are no fun and stupid, and idk how many times the enemy got "supercritical attack and slaughtered me. polish it up please
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The attacking part is irritating. How you spend ages cutting away at something, only to have to kill more of the same later is not fun. In addition, NOBODY is going to read all the 'tutorial', especially with that font. Nice graphics though

I like it. But as many have said, it'd suit the game to have less chance to "fail" your attacks. You could offset it by simply increasing HP or something like that it. It'd be a purely cosmetic change, but it really does feel frustrating to have that many of your attacks fail. Another issue I have is that there are just too many different stats - YMMV, but it just makes me insecure of whether there'll be some critical stat that I'll miss on all of my troops for next map, and that also takes a bit of the joy out of it. 4/5 from me.
