@Alexis_trouble: That's actually a fair mistake. Kanji are literally symbols borrowed directly from Chinese when the Japanese language was first formed. There's apparently some way to distinguish between them, but I'm no expert on that.

There's a mistake on the key level, on the far right portion of the key the numbers don't match whats being checked. according to the symmetry the numbers are wrong, the check is right. Great game, thanks!

really a poor game, its poor visually, the music is terribly annoying, and there are sooo much better versions of this game. the interface is pretty archaic, and its just very boring. Every other type of nonogram I've seen is better. Also same problem as HandEFood said, it's not a quality game. I'll give it a 2/5 and I feel that's generous.

Hey, it's a game! Just play... but how? the "help" page doesn't really help, so there should be a tutorial, where is explained, how to solve these puzzles step by step... 3/5

I have no clue how to play this game...it looks like a very good game, but desperately needs a tutorial level for people like me who have never heard of Japanese Nonograms...

why are there so few good nonogram/picross games in which you stay on the line you are drawing? it's rather annoying if you cannot draw a straight line on big ones
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well,
1) Picma is way better visually,
2) it is more convinient to solve puzzles there since it's automatically marking nimbers in filled rows and columns or parts of it - try to solve a long row or column with lots of small numbers!
3) you can zoom in on parts of the puzzle.
P.S. And don't forget it's great multicolored puzzles!

Would love a save function so I can come back to puzzles later without losing everything I've done so far. Apart from that I'm enjoying it.

it really needs a good tutorial the help in it isnt very good i started understanding it when i went into the level creator

Some levels have multiple solutions (dragonfly and cat so far, there may be others further down the list) and the game will not accept valid configurations that do not match its preset solution. This is a shame.

I wish there were some shortcut keys for switching between the solid, X, and blank boxes without having to go back to the top of the screen, or having to use the "Smart" mode all the time.

I love the puzzles, but the game isn't very well constructed. It could have a much nicer layout, and the controls could be a little better. 3/5

Good, but way too large. Its hard as hell to count up all those tiny little boxes... maybe something where it tells you what you currently have in each row? or like a check mark if you fit the criteria for that row (but doesn't mean its correct)...
I was hoping for a game like Shady Puzzles for the iPhone...

@drummer10 IF your logic is really correct, the problem might be the puzzle. As HandEFood said, one or more (just tested the last one because HandEFood complained) puzzles have more than one logically correct answer (see cherry puzzle with correct logic but wrong picture: http://tiny.cc/7xtye) but you can always try to figure out by looking @ the big picture.

I wish the "Check Now" button was a bit more helpful in some situations. Currently I have something on a 15x16 Grid and one of the columns is 14, and I Can't tell what is right. Leaving the first box in the column blank, or leaving the last box in the column blank, because when I click "Check Now" Everything shows up pink.

Love, love, love nonograms- but see Picma for a Flash-based Nonogram game with better style and MUCH better controls and interface.

While it's a well made game, the puzzles are not. For example, the last puzzle, Cherry, has several possible solutions that fit the numbers provided. The game rejected my answer despite there being nothing logically wrong with it. Sure, there's only one obvious answer, but traditionally, these puzzles should have only one possible solution.

I like the game & the concept, but even on my widescreen monitor I'm getting a headache from looking at the tiny numbers lol. Still, 4/5. Good job!

Ah, so it's Picross... So that's what Japanese Monograms are... Anyways, if you're looking for good games similar to this, try "Picma" or "Armor Picross".

Darkruler2005: Then you made a mistake somewhere, it's definitely beatable without guessing :) The game is good btw. What this game could really use is a working save feature for testing and sharing user-constructed puzzles.

Nice. Looked forever for a good flash-version of this game. Love it :) Make more levels and a version for the phone too :)
