(Part 3/3)
Sorry if the game still has bugs or balancing issues, most of them are fixed in the full game based on that SUPERHOTline Miami Demo I'm working on; here's a link if you're still interested by a two-bit developer's games : https://albatr.itch.io/shootout-inc
I don't know why the game doesn't work on Firefox though, it runs fine when I open it on it's own, but controls don't work when the game is opened on kongregate. I'll investigate.
Thanks for reading, if you did :-)

But please don't accuse me of things you don't know shit about, that's insulting. This game started as a little demo for testing purposes (I thought the 2 games would fit really well together) with only 2 levels, made more than one year ago, during 2 consecutive nights without much sleep. Then I posted it on Twitter not really hoping someone would notice it, but the official Hotline Miami/SUPERHOT/Devolver twitters shared it and that's how it started.
So yeah, I definitely planned all this, only to get plays for a game I never asked, nor recieved a single cent for... And I definitely did that in the backs of the owners of the original games...
I stopped working on this game at least 3 months ago, I've been releasing updates for almost a year (I added new graphics, new sounds, new levels, new weapons, fixed bugs, added a level editor that almost no one is using, but everyone was requesting it), on my free time, now I'm done.

I wanted to reply to Gardeminer's post and give some more info about the game at the same time, the "post a comment" button won't let me do it °°
Here's his post :
"Yeah, this is just the work of a two-bit developer using the names and success of two much better games to get plays. The collision boxes are off, half the time you'll get caught onto a wall, and more."
And here's what I wanted to say :
Yeah I'm a horrible person, I know that, but here are 2 funfacts for you :
- I had a chat with SUPERHOT Team about this game (they contacted me first btw), and they think it's cool, and allowed me to create a full game based on this demo...
- I know an artist working on a game called Mother Russia Bleeds published by Devolver, he showed the game to Dennis Wedin from Dennaton who also thought it was cool enough to let it exist.
I'm completely ok with the fact that you don't like the game, it has flaws, I know that, because I made it.

This is a great game. My only complaint is the magic bullets the enemies shoot that don't cause friendly fire which is the complete opposite of both Super Hot and Hotline Miami.

picking up weapons does not work with a gesture addon in firefox....pretty annoying that i have to deactivate them just to play the game -.-

Fix your broken game, most of the difficulty in this game is a result of clunky mechanics and presumably broken actions. Example: You can't throw your gun shortly after you shoot, you can't throw weapon with full ammo, you cant punch for several seconds after throwing a weapon

I really want to like this game, but sadly it is so bad. So completely bad. But this game absolutely needs a sequel because there is so much room for improvement. Your hitbox is radically inconsistent and way to big. It seems like your hitbox gets smaller if you move faster which I can't tell if it is a glitch or an attempt to undermine the game. Your character has momentum which is infuriating in normal and slow mo. Between the momentum and the bad hitbox it is impossible to do the cool bullet dodging you so desperately want to do..... The blue flash is not enough to know that I have another round. It is too soft.......

I want to punch 5 dudes to death but since I pick up guns automatically I get stuck with a gun.... For some horrible reason you cannot throw a gun after firing. It would be so cool if you could shoot and then throw a gun right and then punch someone in one fluid motion..... I feel so stupid asking for a laser sight, but I can't tell where my shots are going (or is it inaccurate guns)...... Having red highlighted bullets is great, so why are there so many red carpets? I can't see anything.....The camera is bad. It is so annoying to get hit by guys you can’t see. And since the camera doesn’t track you 100% you get stuck with stupid scenarios where moving forward doesn’t move the camera forward but moving back moves the camera back (though it is faithful to Hotline Miami in that sense)……

Some levels are bad. Too many levels start with you getting jackhammered by enemies giving you no time to react and forcing you to blindly rush (since the hitbox is inconsistent) and follow specific patterns over and over and over. And the levels are also too long. Getting past the memorized portion is a chore but once your past it you can finally have the far more entertaining free form combat where it would it OK to die constantly, but then you have to do the shit memorized portion again and again…… Between my character’s massive hitbox, his shit momentum and the fact it is hard to see where your/the enemies shots are going; popping in and out of corners to shoot is torturous. In games like Doom it is so easy to pop around corner, shoot shotgun, retreat around corner, pump shotgun, repeat…….. This game has so much potential and the good parts are really good.

Right click to open the menu thing doesn't seem to have been disabled. Right clicking for me tends to send me running into a corner until I die, about five seconds later.

Solid, but really needs display of ammo remaining and maybe basic weapon info (spread, fire rate, accuracy). Also difficulty ramps up a bit fast but then the whole game is over pretty fast - needs much more content (more of roughly the same is fine). I'll also echo others, that ending with real-time playback would be a really memorable and enjoyable feature.
Thank goodness the bodies don't pile up and form blockades. :)

Love the game, wish it was longer/had more content, maybe snipers that track you with a laser for a bit, then fire an instant/very fast bullet, so you have to either throw them of by moving or by hiding. Also, love the feeling when you barely dodge a barrage of bullets, maybe make rolling a thing?

these levels are so unfair because of the innaccuracy of weapons, i've died time upon time upon time to my bullets not being accurate... this makes the game feel extremely unfair and punishing for no good reason...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I like it but it makes it really difficult that they can shoot you without being on screen. Level 6 is just a huge pain in the ass because there is gunfire coming from an area you can't see. all you can do is just blind fire and hope you hit someone off screen, it just comes down to dumb luck

this game is a real good shooter, it's less shooty bang bang and more stratagy, like how am i going to do this and after 3 goes you understand
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It was good but one suggestion is to either remove the red carpet or change the bullet colour as on the levels with the carpet if you're not careful you're gonna walk right into a stray bullet.

PROTIPS:
-You can take advantage of bullet time to dodge enemy bullets, just let them come towards you and move out of the way.
-You can lead your shots to where you think they will be!
-On Level 3, charge the top/bottom assault rifleman from behind a pillar. Take his gun and hide behind that pillar, shooting anyone who comes nearby [the shotgun at the end is a death trap].
-When the screen flashes with a blue border [and also makes a noise], you have reloaded.
PLUSES SO EVERYONE CAN SEE :)
