I too experienced the glitch of runnning out of background on level 3 when you travel backwards, kinda funny glitch though, since my plane was still making motions as if it was traveling forwards.

BUG: You can defy the law of conservation of momentum with airskipping: angling the craft down as far as possible (after you reach the goal) until the "PULL UP" warning comes on and then quickly pulling back up will give you a moderate boost, and it is possible to repeat the process BEFORE you fall back down to where you were before, enabling you to airskip indefinitely and get tens of thousands of extra feet out of your trip.
