Feature request: please rearrange the menu. In solar view, upper left "planets" icon does nothing. How about, change that to be a "view all my planets" button, and make the current blue i button give a list of all planets in current system whether or not I own them, and allow me to interact with that list. That solves the "click and drag forever" problem. It's especially bad when looking for a planet on a ring I don't already know wher eit is.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Feature request: solar system view needs to either be rescaled, or have an overview or zoom feature added. It doesn't really add anything requiring me to click and drag 3-4 times to go from one ring to the next.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Feature request: at present, with a planet selected in solar system view, if I click on another planet, or click and drag the map, the planet remains selected. Please change this to allow a planet to be selected when clicked and background click-n-drags to deselect.

Feature request: when I click to purchase an idle water structure, update the tooltip immediately rather than requiring me to move my mouse away and back.

Feature request: allow me to slide a planet grid not only by clicking and dragging the grid, but also by clicking and dragging the space background.

Oh, disregard last comment. Refreshed, all the sudden it keeps planet zooms. Maybe I should refresh more than once every 3 days. Still, pro game. Damn kids these days, putting the old folks to shame. :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why does it keep system zooms, but not planet zooms? I want to be able to see all the squares as I flit from planet to planet. Because I'm old and cranky and set in my ways, I'll down rate this from 10/5 to a mere 9/5 unless this is done! *grumbles quietly*

A "sell all gems" button would be useful. I have a 169 tile planet with 169 miners and it takes a lot of time to double click and press "yes".
It's part of the farming, it'd be really cheap if you idled in a 625 tile planet full of ore mines and sell all of them for quadrillions of cash in .5 seconds, wouldn't it? But regardless I'm constantly thinking of a better way to manage these gem selling, looks like the sell-confirmation-upon-collect wasn't a very good idea.

Like the game, just the collecting of recources planet by planet kills it for me, that should be a default button in my oppinion. Still great game 4/5
Maybe I should provide new saves 1k SP points so they can decide to instantly research the collect-all or spend them somewhere else if they are willing to. (@ public: upvote this comment if you're up for that, or downvote if you think you should still start out with 0 SP)
That already exists, it is represented by the little white star-like button near the blue i button on the top menu. But you have to unlock it by researching two fairly cheap sciences in the science tree.

Not only is this game decent(4/5) but the fact that you did it in 3 months as a high-schooler is impressive. So, 5/5.

Gaming instruction and control is sorta confusing and complex ...
Should add ml/s or l/s for the water stuff , so player can know which one they should buy ...
I understand, the game is pretty big and I've tried to put the most basic stuff in the tutorial. But for best results, you can skim through the tutorial, play with a few buttons (the risky ones give you a warning), mess around, and when you've gotten the feel of the game, make a new save and read the tutorial thoroughly. I think that should work. c:

is there a way to lcok back onto planets from the solor system? I'm so far out looking for planets I'm lost and can't find any of my planets anymore. It would be great to have a instant find for planets to fight in solar systems if I get lost like this. Because now when I travel to any system I just see the black void of space.
It looks like you don't know how to zoom or don't know that zooming exists: hold Ctrl and slide your cursor up to zoom in or down to zoom out. No more black void of space! (unless you deliberately drag the solar system to somewhere far to not ever see it again)

I upgraded the initial energy collector once, the game glitched out and made it stop generating energy and made it so I had no options with it but destroying it. That was the first thing I did. What a thrilling game experience. 1/5
I tried to reproduce your bug by creating a new save, skipping tutorial so I don't build the ore mine, upgraded power plant to 2/1/1, bought another speed-up and sped up 4 minutes, and it produced 100 energy. After collection it seemed to produce normally. Did you upgrade the 2nd/3rd path? But it's probably a bit too early to give the game 1/5 stars at that stage, not rating at all is much better.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Does the speed stat on ships only affect travel time or does it affect weapon reloads as well? Also, an option to use boost/access inventory when you click on a building would be nice. Kinda a pain to use multiple coupons right now.

this game seriously neededs a " COLLECT ALL " button.... i've spent the last half hour going to every single planet and double clicking every powerplant/oremine/sciencepointthingy and then when i finally get back to my home planet, the things have all become full again, even after upgrading them to where they can have around 500 ore...... seriously....
Collect all button is represented by the white circly-star-ish button at the top menu with the blue i button, but to use that you need to research two sciences in the science tree, but then the below commenter says that it's bugged, I'll recheck.

Thank you so much for adding hot keys for upgrading buildings! You just made a 4 minute task on my 64 tile planet become a 1 minute task. This will make upgrading a lot less tedious. :D

*) The game has a lot of sandbox potential, but right now there is too little to do. A cool thing would be to have different minerals, and each world depending on its composition would produce more minerals of a given type than other, e.g. a volcanic and rare planet would have more diamond (from 50 units, 15 diamond, 10 gold, 25 iron), whilst a common earth like planet would produce more iron (from 50 units of material, 40 are iron, 5 are gold, 5 diamond) and of course, each mineral sells at a different price. **)Also, to make it harder it would be nice if each building consumes energy, so you wont be able to have a planet full of miners only, but you'll need a few power plants to produce at least the consumption quota of each planet (and the surplus will be collected to the energy "bank")
*) Every suggestion that adds new content to the game will be added later, right now I'm focusing on fixing bugs, balancing stuff, add critical features etc. **) Actually, very early in development (even before alpha), this was already added! But some unfixable and very annoying bug made me scrap it. Maybe I'll retry to add this sometime in the future, as I was very incompetent in coding back at then.

1) The information screen (the one from the "i" icon) should have more actions, at least the collect all -planet- button, so you avoid to visit each one, click the collect all, return to the screen, select another planet, and so on). 2) Also, I bought 5 lvls of the improve production rate (both power and ore) and the rates are still the same. 3) The shift click of the resources icon should sell without asking, I mean, you are already shift-clicking, that means you know what are you doing there. 4) I bought several speed ups to speed up (duh) the production of a fleet, but the only option I get is to throw them, not to use them. 5) The font of the timers and amouts of production over the buildings is not friendly, it needs a better font, and better still if it is outlined.
1 is already being considered. 2) I think the buildings do produce more, but the display that shows when hovering over them shows the base production, I'll have to change that too. 3) It would probably be useful if you knew how much cash you would receive when selling them, if you mean "resource icon" as Convert resources button. 4) Only energy balls can speed up ship timers, speed-up items can only speed up building timers. 5) I'll consider this too!

First of all, congratulations on making this game. It is amazing, despite some bugs and imbalances, I feel like this could become one of the best idles available in kongregate.
Bug report (Bug?) You only get gems/energy balls in your current active planet. Not on all of them.
Biggest complaint: There are no actual percentages in the science menu. 'Increases the production of minerals'. By how much? Is it percentual? Fixed? Could you please add the precise advantage of each tech?
Second: It would be good if you buffed the "Institute" upgrade benefit. I can use the upgrade to increase science from 0.017 to 0.018 for $36k and 2k energy OR buy another institute and get twice the production for $52. It seems pointless to use the upgrade right now.
Third: Isn't the "Collect all' button supposed to collect all gems and energy balls as well?
Bug report: that is intended to prevent massive rare item farming. The biggest complaint: Yeah I'll definitely have to put that. Thanks for letting me know! Second: Already buffed institute a bit ago, maybe this time I could reduce the costs of upgrading. Third: nope, again, to prevent rare item farming. Glad you like the game! :D

Balance suggestion: with how effective energy balls are for reducing travel time between planets, systems or galaxies, the 'ship speed' research upgrade is more or less a waste, especially with how cheap it is to upgrade the efficiency of energy orbs. I'd love to see the ship speed research upgrade replaced with something like an engine efficiency upgrade that reduces the energy cost necessary to travel between planets, solar systems and galaxies that could supplement the ore upgrade for it. Plus it just makes sense, research better and more efficient engines or power cores to improve traveling costs :)
You can already reduce the energy cost when sending ships in the Extras section in the shop, so I'll probably have to replace it with something else, or maybe nerf the energy balls a bit. :p

i have been having a bug where things will stay stuck on my screen and i cant get them off. things like bullets, explosions, menus, items ext. also a suggestion is a quick finish battles. i have gotten in some pretty long battles that would have been nice to skip.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
referring to my previous comment - maybe adding a %-damage boost after a time-checkpoints. Every 1 minute attack strength is boosted by additional 10-20%. So that the fight does not take endless time
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is there a way to let boss-fights run coin' something else ? :D some bosses have too much shield and too less attack, i had similar ships, so my battle took me more than 45 minutes
I've considered something so if you're on battle for more than a minute, the defense for both sides fall and the attacks raise (in a constant manner), and the healing Helixteii will heal less often. Thanks for refreshing this consideration!

Just a suggestion, but all the clicking for upgrading gets pretty old fast. I'd like to suggest being able to upgrade a building your mouse curser is hovering over, by pressing 1, 2 or 3 which would correspond with the associated upgrade. 1=resource rate, 2 = resource capacity, 3= special benefit (such as rare resources, boosted ship stats, etc depending on the building). Or at the very least, change the shift+click to open upgrade menu to simply pressing V, then from there we could press 1, 2 or 3. Its best to avoid too many shift+hotkey combinations and instead make use of other keys like in traditional RTS games. :)
You can already zoom in/out by holding Ctrl and gliding your mouse upwards to zoom in or downwards to zoom out, unless you are meaning to add zoom buttons.

Think I got a bug.
After a fail attempt at the last planet of the home system, I went back to find a H with NaN hp, effectively impossible to kill.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it would be really helpful to have some way of knowing exactly where the ships are... it says the name of the planet but not the solar system. or anything. or a way to go where it is.
You should be able to view them graphically when viewing your solar system/galaxy/supercluster/universe, unless you aren't meaning that but something else.

When you click the speed-up button beside any timer, the inventory pops-ups but when you click the desired speed-up item, there is no use button.

There has got to be a better way of handling the gems. Right now it works like this; on a 25 grid all ore planet, harvesting all gems, opening Inventory and manually having to sell each and every single gem, closing Inventory and realising you ended up with another 25 gems on that planet. Having an upgrade where a player could 'only' sell 10 , 20, 50 and so on Gems when you have them would be a major improvement, even if it means you still have to harvest 10, 20, 50 etc gems by hand.

well just found another probable bug, auto max ore mine takes 2777 hours to build while to upgrade it from lvl 1 takes only about 2 days
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
upgrading each and every building you have placed is gruesomely tiring.. 40million collect all is too much.. building a t5 spaceship early is so wrong, the power it consumes is off the charts (its ok though).. i had fun with this game, hopefully there will be a more convenient way to visit each planet and upgrade buildings.. hopefully when i reach the 40m science upgrade with 1 click it would collect everything.. 39,955,000 more to go~
The universal collect is meant to be expensive because not only it collects from every planet in the universe, it ignores the ore capacity (but this shouldn't be for realism issues, in which case I'll reduce the cost a lot).
