Thanks for the video demonstration, Taplo, and congrats!
I tried mimicking what you did, but for some reason my star/tail-slides always end up reducing my overall speed no matter how short or long I slide for. I agree in that it isn't "impossible," it just relies on a great deal of trial-and-error and luck.

Best way to do it is ignore big jumps and go for horizontal jumps with about 25 good landings. then go up high with 40 secs to go, try get loads of star glides, then come back down 1 final time, tailslide water while travelling as horizontal as posible so you're sliding really fast, then press up to fly up and starslide and jump up as much as possible. i've got as far as "wizards eye" - 703m up.

Got restaurant in free swim - not sure I can ever do it in timed mode! Wasn't getting it in free swim impossible enough? It's taken me days!

Oh it took some time but i managed to get to the restaurant in timed mode.
Gotta love the way it just flashes by, if u blink u will miss it for sure!

I tried the "how to kongregate" video that was posted, I couldn't get it to work. Not doing tricks doesn't build up enough speed, I like the way I posted better, but to eatch there own. Try both and see what works best for you. (mine was posted just below the HTK comment)

3/3 still more luck is needed, because you need to have enough time to land from that jump, and do ANOTHER tailslide jump out of the water and hit every frickin starslide you can on the way up and jump out of them. That's how I did it. You need to practice the star/tailslide jumps and landings, and then you need to get very lucky with them once and then enough time to land and get them again. That's how I did it! (oh, and any extensions are lucky in the beginning, not entirely needed. Hopefully you'll hit one early though to get some hight/speed). Hope that helps!

2/3 HERE'S HOW TO TAILSLIDE.this took me for forever.you want to land from your last trick, and then when you go to jump out of the water, you should try to exit the water as close to horizontally as possible (this means left to right), and of course hold down to tailslide. Let go of down and press up, you will jump upwards out of your tailslide (spend some time practicing this, it's VITAL). Now, you realize that after you jump out of your tailslide and come back down, you need to enter based on your angle of exit.in this case, it was almost flat but a bit pointing up. So, you need to enter the water at the appropriate angle (not almost flat, but close to it.. again, this takes practice, it's VITAL). Now it's pretty much all luck. You need to catch a starslide, and then after you land, do a tailslide jump out, and catch another starslide (catching the starslide is the luck needed part), JUMP OUT OF the startslides, this should defintately get you passed the nebulous, hopefully farther

1/3 WOOOOHOOOO! I got to the restaurant! It's 2,000 m high in the sky, I got to 2,419 m high! Ok, it starts off with getting tricks right away. Tricks build your speed and make you jump higher (combos of tricks that is). You should be able to get right away a reversal (think it's pretty much just going backwards), a wraparound (easy to do right out of a reversal, it's basically making a loop, you enter pointing left, and "wraparound" and jump out left again). Make sure you get in a "schooled", a backflip, frontflip, backflip rewind and frontflip rewind (and of course you should have some nice entry's plus corkscrews from holding down), NOW, the thing here that got me about why I was sometimes belly-flopping my landings, is it's based on what angle you jumped OUT on. If you jumped out diagonally pointing to the upper right, you should enter diagonally pointing to the lower right. You get what I'm saying? You should throw in a tailslide here as well..

The first Time I played this game I thought it was good, but I have a whole new opinion now. This is one of the most amazingly fine-tuned examples of gaming perfection that I have ever played! 5/5 easy

I'm sorry, need to post this: Ah la ma... (what the fu...) sooo simple game and sooo much fun... either I'm getting soft or games are getting better... sooo long since I've missed several hours from my life... this game is addictive and so good that time passes without knowledge

Huh. Well I didn't change anything on this Linux system - it hasn't even been rebooted - and the game started working. It runs unplayably slow, and I already got the card using another computer, but it is working now.
Many thanks if you guys managed to fix it. Much perplexity if you did not. ;)

Well this is pretty unfair, put the card on a game that doesnt have problems. Since alot of us cant get the card. I have done everything anyone has suggested and still it wont work. Thanks.
