aem, am i just too dumb or is that game right now screwed up? It says:click play in the lower right corner and i dont have a button? I cant start at all...

Its much too hard, if an enemy rams your hex then you lose lots of hexagons and normally you die, im not really interested with this game

A small review:I love engineering build-your-own games as this.
But this got an original concept exept the area change and hex food tracking system that are similiar to Bubble Tanks.
This is a great game and it got alot of space for improvements such as shields, defense, weapons of mass destruction, portals and more.
Ofcourse this game is still in early development so we should see alot of improvements in the near future.
As of yet,we can enjoy the system of this game and experiment with various combinations.5/5

Q:Why doesnt the checkpoints save your progress?
A:Because its just a milestone, not a saving checkpoint. You have to save from within the game menu.
Q:How does the Grow hex alter the growing of your celle?
A:It does give you Mutations.

Brilliant. I click play after evolve screen and screen goes white. that's half an hours play down the drain... Marvellous. Buggy game.

Most people in these comments don't understand the idea of inertia, while your cell is in motion, when something is fired from it, that momentum is transferred somewhat, causing it to disturb a straight forward path, and the fact that specific missiles spawn from different offset cells, they are not pinpoint accurate, all you have to do is account for the offset and momentum and you'll be able to hit your target. Also, one reason this may have been done as a programmer's note, you used the direction in which was being aimed instead of the exact point, so, if it delays, or you are moving too fast, you change your position, but the direction stays the same, so they fly the same route, but off however much your ship moved.

and people.
THIS IS NOT A RIPOFF OF BUBBLE TANKS
it only got an arena system and similiar hex tracking but this game is ORIGINAL.
and oh yeah 6/5 because of the original hex type combination system.

What are bomb shots, exactly? Never figured that one out...
Bombs that shoot small missiles in a random direction.

great potential but so bugged :(
and... there are checkpoints, but when I press "continue" I have only option to play from the beginning...

Question: The description of the "grow" celle says it affects your evolution, but how? I keep experimenting with identical shapes and sizes of it and get seemingly random amounts of available spawns/mutations per evolution. Anyone know if/how you can control how many spawns/mutates you receive per evolve?

I agree that there are some issues that could be looked at, but overall I'm really enjoying this game. There's lots of potential for customization (which I enjoy) and the gameplay is overall pretty good. It would be a plus if the cell core always had missile capabilities so you can't be disarmed, and it'd also be a good thing to have a map key, so maybe consider including those for version 2 or whatever.

I cant play..In the screen where you choose your celle, there is not play button in the lower righthand corner.. Wtf..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there are definitely some balance and play issues that have been pointed out. my recommendation is that you work on those, and then release a full version later, as you have listed the version as .06

and to betapenguin to get the slow then super fast big missile, you need missile hexes grouped together, for the biggest effect a line is the best, then on one side of the missile hexes you could put grow hexes which makes it get bigger and then on the other side tech hexes to make it go faster, then so it grows even faster you'll need speed hexes to speed up the growing proccess
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
to the person wondering what tech hexes do, they make certain aspects of your hexes better, for bombs it gives them proximity, for missiles it gives it homing and i think it makes it go faster but not shoot faster, and for armor it self repairs, and then for speed it gives anti thrusters which make it so you don't slide when you are moving real fast

So I guess this is Flow meets Bubble Tanks. It is way too hard to hit anything, and if a player loses all missiles, he can never collect any more evolving dots. So basically, this is terrible.

Excellent potential for a game, but the bugs are so frustrating and debilitating that the game itself is rendered unplayable. You should have had some of your friends playtested the game before releasing it, it might have had a shot at first place for the month :S

question: how do you make this gun? it's shot starts out big and slow, but then suddenly becomes really fast, and even bigger, it does insane damage (did at least 10 hexes, broke through 3 rows) and knocked my ship back maybe... 4-5 areas? I want to know how to make this thing, since if it does to other things what it did to me, it's an instant kill/super-cripple to anything it hits, anything.

srry ive never left a comment, thx for the tip, i was wondering what his email was...
yes there are indestructable enemies...

3/5 lot of promise, lot of bugs, needs some better explanation of what each thing does, first boss is a little hard. Maybe some more hextypes?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
great game, I love how you are at the same strength as your enemies, and that no matter how evolved you get, you are never overpowered/invincible, but you're never TOO fragile. Also, is it just me, or do grow missiles make bosses really easy, as a bigger one will take out 3-5 non-armor hexes in one blow.
